Very cool site!
I noticed a small bug: The total time listed for a player shows the anonymous total time for the state.dat, not the actual total time of the player. The individual level times looked correct though

The fact that the spiral record stood so long makes me feel better about it, it's been over four years I think

One thing I think is annoying is the alphabetical sorting of the nicks: Aa Ab Ac Ad Ae Af Ag Ah Ai instead of the more readable Aa Ad Ag Ab Ae Ah Ac Af Ai The second way is superior IMHO. Reading the table column by column is much easier than searching each row, when going through the list alphabeti...

The effect of Quicktime on my previous computer was quite noticable, it had appr. the same effect as the program ElmaXP.exe (on WinXP). Before I knew about ElmaXP, it was the only way for me to get smooth movement in Elma on WinXP (like on Win98). (Also, the effect is slightly different from ElmaXP)...

I've just updated the prediciton graph with the last 30 tables. Well, philip if the friction was 1, then when you do hit the brakes, the car would stop instantly If you read my post I actually wrote the usual definition of friction, ant that's not what would happen (with my definition of friction that is... ;) ) Just an example to explain my definition: Let's s...

Friction can't be more than 1, when talking about friction  1 = infinity. Nope, there is no magic friction limit at 1 (I'm talking about the ratio between the friction and the normal force) If you ride in a car, and step on the brakes, there is no reason why the car should be able to brake a...

but if rec always is 30 per sec you can count the frames of a rec and the time will always be exact? You don't get it, do you? Yes, the rec stores the position of the bike 30 times per second. But, elma's own calculation is more precise than that. If you want to calculate the exact time of a rec, y...

There is nothing mysterious about black holes, it's just a gathering of materia so dense that the escape velocity is larger than the speed of light. 1. Well, you have to do some guessing when fitting the curve. I guessed that in the future new styles will have less relative impact on the tt than it has before. Therefore I guessed that the last part of the tt would be more representative, and fitted the curve to this idea. A more detailed fit would ...

Nah, your measurements are ok, and the calculation of top speed seems right :) The only thing I would do different is this: a is constant: The different measurements gave three different values, but the differences are just because of inaccuracies. Let's take a to be the mean value of them (0.95m/s^...

Re: Elastomania is played on a space anomaly!
Sliding friction is 1,because when you press brake ,it doesn't slide at all. Then the static friction is in a way also 1 ,because the bike doesn't start to slide on uphill when brake pressed down. Actually the friction coefficient (the ratio between the normal force and the braking force) has to be...

Are you sure the gravitational acceleration is not constant? On your pictures you say it is 1.00m/s^2, then higher up it is 0.95m/s^2, and even higher it is 0.907m/s^2. Now, when you calculated those values you assumed acceleration was constant, or? (If acceleration is not constant, then calculating...

Here's a test with 34.98 as the limit, it certainly looks as if we are on our way:
Graph 3
If you think this is a good prediction, then we'll be below 36 before table 300.

the problem with this aproximation is that you shouldn't aproximate table/time but dateoftable/time It is so inaccurate that this minor detail doesn't matter... so Phillip, according to that table 500 prediction pic it looks much like this: lim tt->36 Well, that was just a test to see how well a li...

With time wrs get better and better down to a limit, the closer you get to the limit the slower the wrs will improve. From this w...
