It's a quite interesting subject. I have been playing celeste lately and it's just impossible game to speedrun for my brian because it's so fastpaced 20 inputs / second. Elma is more about understanding the physics and maintaining momentum (think uphill battle for example), much less input required.

Impossibly difficult question, but I go for 500 fps, because it's generally more pleasant to play for me. My goto fps nowadays is 350. I use it for battles and speedrun / 1htt. At 1000 fps the suspension feels too stiff, and is in many non-low-fps internals simply slower than 350 fps.
