Re: Where and how are you supposed to learn human interactio

I recently talked with my (much older) friend, who advised me to visit one organisation in my city. This org helps people with disorders of autistic spectrum to communicate with other people. For free. Basically I can just walk to them and ask them to help me learn human interaction, since I have sl...

Re: Free Will does not exist

It's not like the absence of free will was proven, so you just accepted that. You had to conclude it from some pointers or assumptions. And that requires some kind of belief. So what is the probability that FW doesn't exist? Imo it's way too far from 100%. So you have to have a pretty strong belief....

Re: Free Will does not exist

imo free will exists. Conclusion based on using Occam's razor. You have to make just as many assumptions in proving there is free will. I don't say it's a proof. I just observe. And I make just one assumption. If humans concluded that there is no free will, it would be devastating to the society. L...

Selby's performance was insanely balanced in finals. No huge mistakes or fouls on easy balls. He played carefully and was well focused. Higgins not so much. And that costed him a trophy. But imo both players are really top quality. People just seem to be biased against Selby, because they find him &...

Watchmen (2009) - 7/10 Well, this was much more of a 'comic' movie than many others. Just some heroes with costumes, blood, shredding bodies, cutting limbs etc. Pretty good I'd say. It diverges so much from many other comic hero movies. Marvel is kinda shit compared to stuff like this one. Very goo...

The Light Between Oceans (2016) - 6/10 Definitely watchable, and I like movies with escalating plot, where something little starts an avalanche of events. However, the second half of the movie felt it was dragging like a snot, and could be easily 30-45 mins shorter. Decent acting of Vikander & ...

Water boils because somebody wants to make a tea (or pasta). The point I wanted to make with all this, is that people very often give the answer answer on "How" instead of "Why". How asks you for the means. Why asks you for the intention. Whatever we answer on why, it just slips ...

Stranger Things (1 season) - 5/7 Really good. I liked the "collective hero" concept where 4 boys actually blend into one character, each of them adding his bit of personality. Also D&D references were a nice touch. Mysterious, dangerous, funny. Good. I hope they don't screw next season...
