If having a relatively short EOL event, let's say not more than 2-3 hours in total, and announcing it well ahead of time, let's say at least one week in advance, do you think aborting other battles during the event is ok?

Some of them can easily be shortcut though, for example if playing 1htt or speedrun sometimes players fail the setup for jumping back and get stuck on triangle for a while.

No problem, just didn't understand your question. There are no points, just how many times players finished 1st place, 2nd place etc.

Oh sounds great. My ideas for battles: 1. LONG straightforward apple battle pipe (no need for long battle time). As apple battle no need to die on purpose before the end of battle time. Yeah let's say January 4th. Already made around 1.5h worth of battles, mostly FFs. 8) Would be nice with some chris/ram/andry apple battles for some more variation too.
