I just looked at http://www.elastomania.com/ and noticed there's an iOS version available that seems to have been published very recently.

Has anyone tried it? Are there any screenshots available? Does the physics engine feel the same?

I don't have any iDevices so I can't test it.

I think it sounds reasonable to have an update on 27.4.2014 (or before). New version will be up tomorrow (or, well, today... it's past midnight). using ubuntu 12.04 LTS with 32 bit on notebook and 64 bit on desktop. At first there's binaries for 32-bit only, but 64-bit version will be available too...

Two requests: Increase the session timeout/length. It's annoying when I'm writing a post and when I press Submit, it requires me to log in because I didn't do anything for a while. Reproduced when I deleted the settings file, thanks. I updated, but you probably have to download manually because the day of the update is the same.

Not so far, as far as I know. jonsykkel's 7z has some PNGs, but those look exactly like the PCX/TGA versions (number of unique colors in each picture is less than 100).

Elma 2 is still being worked on :) Most of the changes lately have been refactoring (organizing code better), and most of this refactoring has happened in November/December (but there has been some activity every month since April, except October). So from the user's perspective, not much has change...

Lousku correct - and for 2, you need to set an LGR file for the lev editor in rendering settings.

Another possibility is that the pictures are hidden - see the "Visibility" category in rendering settings.

Nice, didn't remember the LGR kit.

Yes you can make higher-resolution images than the original. I think there will be a mechanism for telling the "actual size" of an image in level, so it won't look huge/tiny if it has big/small pixel dimensions.

IRC channel has been changed (again) because of lost ops. It's now #new_elma. The new channel has a re-opping mode in case everyone loses op, so it shouldn't be necessary to switch channel anymore.

So leave the old channels (#new-elma and #newelma) and join the new one.

Animations sound like a good idea (objects are already animated, so why not other pictures?).

Animated pictures should definitely support 32-bit colors too, so GIFs are out of the question. APNGs or MNGs are probably the way to go.
