I'm not sure giving points to more players is actually a good incentive for "nabs" to play harder and be motivated - for me, it was particularly the struggle of "getting into the points" which was motivating (and before that, even just beating the base time).

Unless someone makes a serious case for another way to go we are gonna go simple - no skips. Well, from the poll 50% want either 1 or 2 worst results discarded, as opposed to 33% who want no skips. Discarding worst results can make for an anticlimatic finish aswell, if someone makes pretty stable good results and plays all he won't be able make many points in last event, and won't be able to change his position much, if at all. I prefer 2 worst records discarded. But you can do it in two ways. If someone is discarded from 10th place, you may or may not raise the classification of people from 11th onwards.
