Its a way for people to have a "reason" to improve their times.. externals can be played without battles aswell, and I don't see why people would care about the results for them either.

Ever thought of having 2 different battle systems? as in one for external battles and one for internal ones? I know people hate internal battles, but there are some people who would love it.
