Re: The current situation the scene, Elma, and EOL

There is supply and demand issue in EOL. Sometimes people will continuously ask for levels and I will just keep making them until I get bored or someone else start making levs. You cannot really supply quality levels all the time. The scene is small only maybe small percentage (10-15%?) of players d...

I'm amazed that people use all arrows. For me as you generally need only 6 button to play elma, it's most comfortable to use 3 fingers from each hand. My fingers just comfortably lay on buttons and I press buttons when needed. No need to move, twist fingers or use thumb.

I have stop/abort rights. I mostly use them to abort my own battles. Generally if I need to abort some "impsy" battle I would ask as many people as I can before I do it. If there is at least 1 person who feels it can be done, I let it continue for some time and from my experience the level...

I believe that is because internals were not necessary in designed to hoyled, but rather to fun to drive by newbies. Apples give you sense of progression in level. All the WRs styles are kind of by-product or like the pipe in headbanger meant to by impossible. The difference in how we design levels ...

Testing isn't necessary for most of levels, sometimes it just kills creativity. Not every level needs to be about 1 minute long, well tested mutlistyle lev. Yes setting vsync on has exactly same effect as vsync off with fps limit to 60/75 depending on your monitor refresh rate. So as long as limiter works, you don't need the ability to turn vsync on. Physics maybe it's the same, but rendering gets messy on lower-end netbook that can run barely over 60 ...
