So I named my daugther Elma

Post by umiz »

I recently had a daughter. So now I have three kids. Two boys and now a girl.

So I ofcourse named her Elma, in middle name.

Just wanted you guys to know. I guess it's not that common to name a kid after a 2D-motorcycle game.

If she wants to play the game in the future be and beat you guys, prepare for: Elma-umiz!

I think it's a nice name, doesn't sound cringey at all despite coming from an ancient videogame. :) Best wishes to her!

Actually Elma is an old-fashioned Finnish name, and famously for example px's grandmother's name is Elma. I am not sure if umiz is aware of this, I guess so though because of px's grandmom and because of Sweden also having plenty of Finnish immigrants, especially older ppl. At least umiz has done a name search before giving this name if he didn't know about this initially, right umiz? =)

Elma is a common name many places in the world still. It's also the name of an apple, and lately an Anime character as well if looking at google images.

For boys maybe you can call them Elmo instead)

Jokes aside, congrats all elmans who have kids! Impressive to also manage juggling Elma on the side!

Very happy thread)

Well, that's a totally normal name, which happens to be a game reference. I mean, a little girl called Elma (especially as a second name) will never get bullied or something like that because of it, it's not like the 2013-2016 parents that called their kids names from Game of Thrones.
