Im all for new internals....

Why does it HAVE to be a new elma?? I'm sure that if you made new internals that would not be under any external file, they will become standard sooner or later...

and if an elma 2.0 was made, what would be the difference between the old one besides internals? Probably nothing.

MaZ: of course i thought the same as dz, but this would be only a new levpack imho. That doesn't make any difference if u put it into the elma.res i'm afraid. :(

im pretty sure it will change. If put it in the res-file it would be like original levels. It would be much more fun....atleast i think that!

New Internals... I love the idea...

Post by Toaster »

Hib has alredy made a prog. that can import the externals to internals. I tryed with the olp levels. And it's really cool. But to bad nobody is realesing there levelpacks this way :(

EDIT: http://www.sabik.dk/elma/elma_olp.res <- Just rename to elma.res and overwrite the old one (remember to backup the old file)

new internals would just be like an ongoing contest, but because they are 'internal' then they are there to be played, just like normal internals. so in theory, if EVERYONE was to get into a contest as much as internals, then there shouldn't be a prob, but instead people are complaining that they want new internals when they could fully get into a contest.

but, i am for new internals, because i believe they will force people to compete and continue playing them. hmmm, i have very mixed emotions about this topic, also with the levmaking..... it DOESNT have to be B&C (cant spell ok) and it also shouldnt be the whole community, instead it should be a couple of designers who design very basic levs, designers who don't think about styles and WRs etc(which is why i think normal internals are very perfect with competeing, even though i have learnt to hate them). they also don't have to be designers who make pretty-looking levs, they can always be fixed up by skint0r or something ;). DO NOT INCLUDE PEOPLE IN THE SCENE TO JUDGE AND SELECT LEVS.

anyway, this is how i fell so far. i think we should stop brainstorming etc and start some actions.

....oh yeah one more opinion, would be much cooler if they planned 2.0 without us knowing at all, a VERY suprise release, but should we be waiting for that moment which may not even happen at all?

good point(s) bob.

I think we should find like 10 designers who make good and nice levels. let them make 10 levels, or send in 10 levels that isn't published before. When someone has gotten 5 levels from these 10 designers he/she or a group of people should look them trough and make some improvements and when that is done they can send them to the last person (Abula) who can choose 54 (?) levels from these levels.

My opinion

If new internals should be created I think it should be Csaba or Balazs that have made the levs.

But I really don't think they just should do the levs if new internals would be created, it would be better just to make a new elma version. A new elma version would really refresh the elma scen.

A problem is that I do not think that Balazs have time or wont to make a new elma version at the moment. But maybe if we gaved him some ides and helped him as much as possible then he might might might make a new elma version

skint0r wrote:And I don't think I will play these anymore than I play OLP unless the levs were made by balazszzsz or csabbza. Seems there not many that can make the same type of levels, they're either just copies or bad remakes.
That's exactly what i thought!
Internals must be created by Balazs and csaba, in any other case what differs thm from the other externals? You press "play" to play and not "play"+external levels (Or any other button) to play?

That's not it.
Someone have to contact rozsa family for this case.

You get it in the Elma 1.2 package, its called Resedit.exe, in the same package you get lev2leb which you need to convert your levels to the leb format which is the format of the internal levs..... by the way I started my somewhat own Elma version with these tools quite a long time ago, but I'm not so good on making levs..... and I don't know if it ever will be released

PS. If somebody have some level they think could be in my Elma "version" they can contact me..... I'm too lazy myself to do many levs

Is balazszzsz or csabbza that good level makers ? :} or is it we who are crazy enough to find the extreme style and think "hey such a gr8 lev"
i mean if we would play eachothers lev for 139205hours im sure some style would come :] well i dont think they suck at making levs ;P
but me sure we can do IT!
but i think there have to be a new elma with new levs.. if not..i dont think that many would play them. damn i need some sleep
