So Abula leaves the daily presence and goes to army next month, have you prepared to have alot less updates? How do you feel? And what are the plans for Abula concerning moposite during army time, special guest updaters or something? I'm going to have a hamburger.

Records I'll try to update myself in vacations. If I'm not able px can take them if he bothers. LOM is the most problematic, organizing it is quite a messy. Kinglist and other unimportant sections can be offline during my army. Also in vacations I'll upload Mopobattle stuff.

well.. someone must update times/records/totals (internal)....thats the heart of the site.. the else arent that biggy... cant jokke join to update times?

If moposite is beginning to look inactive,there should be a page that would become familiar to elmers of their news. By this I mean,that moposite news are often very brief. I would prefer an elma site that would play a role like a newspaper. Basically some good writer along with his buddys writes what had happened in last couple days, rumours and new records. Of course we can read mopolauta for some latest...but but.... It could also cover info from #battle...someone just reads a log file from the channel and then writes to news also who has been active battling lately and who has won them...etc

Kinglist unimportant? To you maybe but there are actually people who like that contest, I am one of them! And as it is now the Kinglist has very few updates and it's quite frustrating to wait for update! Too not update Kinglist is IMO a very bad idea!

I know there is someone who can take care of this during your army and even handle it better and faster, nohting personal, than you! That's what I had to say!

i was thinking the same and GuyB is a good writer of news...

but i remember him saying that he wont do more work with sites and stuff than he does know... he has alot of updating to do at the danish site alone... but we could ask him... who knows....

I don't think it would be a good idea to have someone else update wr's, once your in charge of that, you basically missed out on getting a wr.

But GuyB should become news-writer on moposite, he's knows what's going on in the scene, and he is very good at writing news.

Abula can update most things on holidays (how frequent are these?)

Mayb he can use a proxy for stuffs needing to be updated more frequently.
I think GuyB or dz would be fine choices for a proxy, probably others, too

Abula- just flea Finland and live in Australia its much more Sunny and you dont need to go to the army if you do choose to do so you get paid good money for too.

-level review (a review of some level) - ciph? skint0r? psy???
-#across and 'lauta quotes (the best selection of quotes) - ?????
-???? ADD MORE M0NGOZ!!!

ok, this could be updated however often. i guess somone who knows some scripts could make it so you could update the site just by typing the new stuff in some bar. the thing with everyone updating a different section is a bit hard, so it would pretty much have to be liek that

well, share you thoughts, and volunterr for any parts that have ????'s on them

Im pretty positive there wont be any extra updaters during off-perioid. but of course, it's a bit shame that kinglist is not being updated...

Maybe abula could create some kind of a temporary layout, or modify current a bit, so that it's clearly seen what is the situation.
Also, having moposite in a kind of "half offline" status for some time, wouldn't be a bad idea at all I think. Then there could be a countdown timer which would tell when it will be fully up again (abula returns).

Of course everything that can be updated should be there.
It would create something "unnormal" to the scene and maybe give a some kind of a boost to everyone of us. It would show that things are not necessarily so self-evident, there isn't moposite always for you.
It would be actually very nice to see how it affects the scene.

Moposite was off for half a year or something a while back, wasn't it? I don't remember exactly how long it was or when it was, but it was around summer 2001 i think.

- the site shouldnt be anywhere at free-hosted site... works only occasionally... should not be in australia or new zealand...opens slowly :)

- needs a tiny url. That i can arrange later if needed.

-and a good start off is a good layout and plain idea of a newspaper. Not any extra garbage on the page at all. But but...frames like moposite.com has...are pretty much newspaperish like.

I was going (got an idea two years ago :P) to make more advanced news system to Moposite including different kind of news (like some of those m0nkeii listed and something more) and more news writers but .. you know, army.

Suggestings: Interviews (not KOM kinda interview), Something about what happens on elma website's around the world etc.

No one of you will do it, abu just can't let the moposite in the hands of 10 people he doesn't know that well. Forget these "m3 tAkeS OVeR TeH MOPosite!!!11". Many sections will be dead during the army time. WRs and mopolauta will be working and I think abu is trying to find someone who is updating the records. There were some talk about news writing but I don't see that coming ...would be nice though

I think MP got the point... no one is taking over moposite... that's for sure...
but i think that newspaper thing is a great idea and it's not even connected to abula's army service (only connection is that the idea came that way).
the newspaper will keep running after it if we start running one now... yea, i can program part of this shit but better we take some of the really good programmers like vk or skint0r if they agree to do so...
I think the the needed language is PHP and i don't have a server for this anyway so I'm not helpful... I just can help programming stuff after someone else starts it.
