So, within a few weeks/months the WR-list will be an IC team records list?

Hmm, I don't really see how any of us are to have a saying in this matter.

What's it gonna help whining about a really really good team?
It's not like they're gonna think "oh well, people don't like us together, maybe we should break up" anyway, so why even bother.

It's totally legal what they've done, and I really understand it too.
I mean, I'm in the best Danish team, and I don't give a shit about other Danes complaining about EMA having the best Danish kuskis.
Anyone wants to do better, so why not join a better team as well?

So they possess most of the WR's, and they'll surely be in the lead of almost every team competition, and so what? It's not like they didn't earn it.
I personally think that joining a team/staying in a team has a lot to do with ones personality, and whether or not chemistry between the members work out. I couldn't stand staying in a team with someone I didn't like, so I guess if these guys, who happen to be the four best kuskis in the world, can work it out together, that's just fine with me. But considering the number of times they've all switched teams, it doesn't really look like they're gonna stay together forever. So it just looks like we're gonna have a couple of months with total monopoly on the WR-table.

But I can't really see any way that it will ruin anything for the scene!

some where i read taht zweq was swapping recs with them anyway so what is the difference now, there doing the same stuff with different letters behind there name, maybe these four will finally take the most out of elma, get every record downd to to a practically unbeatable time, if the tt is going to drop below anymore mintue barriers, im sure that these guys are the ones that are going to get it done,

One team that stands way above all the others is almost never preferable in any scene.
Look at sports, e.g. Ferrari in Formula1 2002. The viewer rates where dropping so they had to change the rules drastically. Or football: if Real Madrid goes on buying all best players the championsleage will become very predictable and less people will watch it.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's cool to have such a strong team. They will probably break all team records (most WR's in one list, best TT etc.), but when it goes on to long it will become less interesting.
Furthermore, the gap between the absolute top and the subtop will become bigger. For some this will be an extra challange, but other will become fed up with it.

So in the long run it is not good for the scene, I think, but we'll see. 8)

I don't blame you. If I was that good, I would do exactly the same. It's probably the only way you can still motivate yourself to improve your times.

the only way it affects the scene is that IC and WNO dont compete any more, and that has nothing to do with the rest of us... now that they are combined they will share recs and possibly make even more sick wrs to all we others entertainment.

I think even when you're in a team you can compete your teammates, who will be the first to do warmup under 14.00 secs? And you can see their faces when you show them your omg-recs. (That's not possibele if you don't show them your recs, so maybe even more fun.)

Why are there even teams in elma? I never really got the idea. Elma is a singleplayer game (except of multiplayer mode :-) )!

I know that they might change replays and help each other, maybe even plays on another teammembers state.dat to improve TT?

But now to the point, aren't almost every found style already on shared replays all over mopolauta?

Damn you're whinin' kopaka! You aren't any good anyways..you would never be able to compete with any of them whether they changed teams or not! :)
And for the ones who can compete, I don't think it matters that much, there will still be goals for them.

This is the thing I really like about elma, you can always do better. You might not be able to beat the very best, but so what? Don't aim so high! Set yourself some other more realistic goals, and these goals certainly don't go away because some dudes change teams..
So quit the whining kids! (Yep, that counts for you too Napoleon!)

Well, did you ever think of the possibility to help each other in cups and contests? And if you are as good as the guys in IC surely they come up with styles to share with each other that aren't on mopolauta. Also, a team might be a social event...

And of course, you get to have that cool [...] tag behind your nick.

I think it's kewl, now everyone wants to beat them...
Being in one crazy team doesnt make them better, it's still the same old top 4 guys...
Anyway, did Skint and the others leave or were they kicked?

zyntifox got kicked for being totally unactive almost his whole IC career. skint0r and deadnite left, they weren't kicked as I have already repeated many times.

like you excpected him to be active when you took him in lol? you just took him because you wanted more IC wrs. He got a few, so he got in.

deadnite and skint0r left? let me giveyou one of deadnite's comment about this.

<deadnite-> well yesterday i was in ic, today i'm not. if i'm not kicked, what am i

either you're talking crap or deadnite has as good memory as my eighty-eight years old granma

[17:12:24] <skint0r> ic = you tor zweq dmd?
[17:12:30] <Cloudness> nah i don't know

[17:16:50] <deadnite-> so what now, you four guys are in the team and me and skint are out like zweq has been saying?
[17:18:43] <Cloudness> that's what we first thought, but we (me and tor) couldn't just kick u

[19:19:40] <Cloudness> deadnite and skon0r waht u gonna do?
[19:19:55] <skint0r> duno
[19:20:24] <skint0r> balle alone or join/make some balle team
[19:20:36] <Cloudness> :s
[19:30:39] <deadnite-> i have no idea

Like I said for multiple times, WE DIDN'T KICK THEM.

And about zyntifox, he made those WRs when he wasn't in IC (except for Quick Round) and we knew those WRs wouldn't be IC's WRs even if zynti joined IC.

Flat Track: 19. #122 15,29 zyntifox [SC]
Hangman: 17. #109 14,58 zyntifox [SC]

Obviously we didn't ask zynti to join because of WRs. So why we asked him to join? You think about that dz, you MONGO

I agree on this. I think almost everyone knew zynti won't play for long. He just wanted to join IC to get some ez wr recs

Ehm yes but I think you expected him to get some IC wrs just because of the thing he had already done few already before joining so would continue blasting some new records to the table, right?

Ok, about the kicking/leaving-thing. We (skint and I) saw the wr-table which had zweq and dmd in ic, which was quite a surprise. Then we asked cloud what was going on and after the conversation the outcome was that ic was cloud, tor, zweq and dmd. At least I understood it so, that we had no option to stay in ic, so is it kicking or leaving, i dunno. However, ic was (is) cloud's and tor's team so i don't have hard feelings about that.

Nope, zynti had already been hanging on the team channel for weeks and already was a good friend of mine, skint0r and TorInge. Hmm, wtf I have said on my earlier reply:
Cloud wrote: Obviously we didn't ask zynti to join because of WRs. So why we asked him to join?

It was zynti who asked if he could join IC, there goes your theory of we asking zynti to join because of WRs, heah. If we wanted someone to join us just because of WRs (zynti in this case) of course WE would have asked him to join, not HIM asking us if he could join IC.

well, somebody says us as lamerteam now, but who have said that team can't be about good players. NOBODY have defined a "right" team, so we can create a team we want to. i have been friend of cloud from beginning of this year eventhough we have had some arguments, and i have been friend of dmd for about month, not much, but still i know him pretty good, so you CAN'T say this team is without friend relationships! (dunno if anybody has said like that, but just gives me that feeling)

It's you who are giving us this impression. When what many people would consider to be the 4 best players in the world form a team together and simultaneously kick (or whatever you want to call it) everyone else from the team, it's going to sound suspicious even if you're all good friends. Don't say that the prospect of recs wasn't at all involved in the decision. It's ok, I don't really blame you for wanting to do it. And of course you can do whatever you want, but think about it, where is the fun in all the best players (by "best players" I mean "the players with the best TTs and the most wrs") being in the same team? You have no real competition now, and your domination might discourage others from even trying to drive wrs because they know that it will probably be broken by one of you four on the next table anyway. Notice how I say might, it might just as well encourage people to play harder, just to beat you.

I hope this team doesn't last long, not because I dislike any of you, but because it's made the wr table dreadfully boring. And yes, I know that there's more to elma than wrs and total times, I still don't like this. Good luck anyway.
