Elasto Mania Trainer

Post by Hedos »

Hello guys :)

I'm an Elasto Mania player and after I finished all the levels at elasto mania, I thought it would be damn cool to be able to control the gravity...
So I decided to make a trainer ;)

My trainer allow to control gravity with hotkeys W A S D..

I think you guys don't support cheating, but this is not really cheating.. it would be so easly detectable in a replay :P
It's just for having fun in maps ;)

( With my trainer, I discovered a secret in the last level of Elasto Mania, level 55 ;) )

I was planning to include some other features in my trainer.. but I lost my motivation...

so, here is my first and final version of my Elasto Mania Trainer...

new url:
(you MUST right click on the link and choose Save Target As)
-----
link edited

Have fun :P

edit: New version updated. Now it supports v1.0, v1.11a and v1.2 of Elasto Mania!

if we look at this trough some external contest keeper, how can he know that this trainer isn't used somewhere, for example on gravity or high speed levels? only thing he can do is to hope such thing is not used, because it's not easy at all to detect if you just use it to get some tenths, or even hundreads depending what it takes to get you the record.

Yeah you are probably right dz...

I could maybe try to implement something that disable replays saving when the trainer has been used...

Have you selected the correct game version?

What is your Operating System?

It is possible to my program doesn't work on every computers... I'm not using the best method to be sure to have a 100% working trainer. I could try to use a better method, but it would require lot more work.. and I don't wanna spend too much time in that program :(

u kno hedos this is probably the worst thing that has so far happened to elma scene in general. this makes total time cheating laughably easy.

you SHOULD have put some +10 min - none normal elma combatable - for this, but since you didn't it's too late now.

thx a lot.

i dont really like this trainer... U can easily change gravity for 0.2-0.4 seconds without noticing it on the rec :-(

pls take away the link now....many already got it, but its easier to stop if few people are using it!

this is a fun patch, also good for exploring levels.

I just hope you make that gravity detector soon. Nobody wants a second cheating wave.

Bad new...
The gravity changes are not recorded in the replay...
It's close of impossible to detect if someone used my gravity trainer...

The possibilities to fix the problem would be:
#1 Make a new version of Elasto Mania wich would make my trainer unusable for this version
#2 I could create a program to authentify replays. You would have to open this program before the replay started, it mark the saved replay as an authentified replay. And it would detect if the gravity trainer was used during the replay.
But it would be annoying to always have to open a program before starting a game...

If someone has any other suggestions, let me know

Nahh dont do that. I think everyone realizes that it wasn't your goal to make a cheat, but it's to bad it went that way.

The patch is really funny to use by the way!

PS: I tried to cheat an internal earlier just to see if it was possible and it is. I made 30,69 or "Over and Under" and my old time was much worse. The WR on "OaU" is 29,99. And my friend didn't even notice that i have cheated :-(

MY POINT IS! THIS WILL HELP MANY PEOPLE TO MAKE WR'S!

Im pretty sure Moposites anticheating tools will see this. It is probably stuff like this that is the easiest for these progs to detect, dunno..

But the big problem isnt wrs table its more external contests

ahhaha i find this very funny.
Hedo (?) d00d dont worry bout these guys. Im sure he wasn't trying to make a cheat for the game but make a 'muck around' one, just like nitro.

get off his back ok.
i dont see why it matters if WR d00ds try to cheat when the people that are complaining are the people who will never ever see their names on the WR list. If anyone should be arguing it should be other WR holders.
Also, in the future, elma times will be very hard to beat so we will appreciate programs like this which put an extra spice to the game.

i want to host ez best time table with use of this.

edit: also, i want one that works with 2000.

i so agree with those 3 bartek advices there.

1. at least talk to abula/balazs about it, see what their opinion is.

2. and built in penalties for usage.

3. after going through #1 this might not be so necesary, maybe it ought to be moved first in line.

bob wrote:i dont see why it matters if WR d00ds try to cheat
this prog is not for them only, they're not the only people that cheat. they're not the only people with which cheating matters.
bob wrote:Also, in the future, elma times will be very hard to beat so we will appreciate programs like this
what? you can't beat your own best times so you want a program to make it easier?

seriously bob. with this program it is easy for everyone to gain slightly more speed at almost every part with it being very hard to detect (hedos says there's no record for grav changes so the only tool left is your own eyes). in moposite it says 'if your time(s) look(s) suspicious, a rec on it/them might be asked.' almost any noob can make 2:40 lab pro with this, improve his tt over a minute, and never get noticed. the time is hardly superb so there wont be any rec asking.

this would now mean that either abula starts taking every single improved rec to accept your state.dat (and be somehow miraculously able to detect the minor gravity using, major using is of course detectable) or a lot of people (with different reasons for doing this) will start faking their tt's.

I disagree that, elma and the tables are about drivingskills and original styles, not about cheatingskills and programmingskills.

Neh...why does everyone want to cheat? It stops being a game then and stops being fun. Most of us non-cheaters would stop playing then, because its 'impossible' to beat the cheaters, so all the real players stop playing...blahh

The program was a good idea, shame everyone saw it as a cheat tool

Yesterday I tried the patch, and was able to take my 48:55:xx tt down to 45:2x:xx with it  in half an hour.
But with times like 9:xx in warm up, so it would be easy to see I cheated, if I was bad guy and used that.

For the fun.. isn't it a good reason?

And about the "new version of Elma".. I mean, if a patch is released, the current version of my program won't work anymore...

Btw, I will release a new version soon, it will give time penalty when using gravity...

Unfortunatly.. I don't think that I can do that..
I tried, but the change in the gravity is not stored in the replays, the only thing I can detect is when the gravity changement was caused by a gravity apple.

good work to tell everyone they can use it, cause you can not detect it,
but probably people know there will be found a way of detecting it and if they use it now they will get screwed later :?: maybe
