Run around your PC? It's not against a wall or anything? I just can't imagine a PC being in the middle of a room =)

My only obsession when playing elma is that I alt+tab after almost every go to click the next link on mopolauta or start downloading something. But I don't have any superstitions I can think of.

sorry abula but you're not that important to me :\

also i want to give u all respects for your sexy pic :)

There are very few pictures of Abula that don't show either the back of his head or his face conveniently obscured by a shadow :) but I think you're going a bit far, DataDog. and btw elma players can make great role models :) we have sex symbols, gay icons and then n00bs like me who post too much crap too much of the time.

Sometimes, when I drive times that I think is really good I save the rec like three times with the same name to be sure. Not sure why, if it because I´m not sure if I pressed enter or escape after writing name or if it is of bad faith in elma....
Anyway, this I do....

I do that too! "omg 34.73 on pipe... but suppose it didn't save properly?" etc. Once I had a worse problem in that I got new times on several levels, exited elma, opened it again and all the times hadn't been saved

This is a great topic and I wanna hear more of these stories. I cant come up with anythign now, so I just write here to remind you of this topic. I have driven some Records completely naked. But I dont HAVE to do that. If I sit and play I dotn wanna change, liek get dressed or soemthing. That disturbs (read: disturbed) my playing. Like when I have to visit the bathroom, and then I wash my hands... doesnt feel asd good to play. Present is best when it comes to playing.
If there is one thing I could write I guess it is one thing I am pretty conservative about. The new 1.2 patch... playing with that is really wierd. Cant do it.. menus looks different, when I start elma different looks etc... that just makes me feel I could never do a decent ride with that...

When i make a new PR i just stop playing and go talk with my family. They don't really care about it, but... I have a superstition: when i am close in making a new PR (and i am in a safe situation) i press [T] so i can't see the time anymore :P

If i'm going for wr i often switch off the Timer, just to be more happy if i run a good time. But it happens once in a lifetime.

The only benefit to superstition s are their placebo effects. I hate to ruin all your obvious placebos but every superstition ever made is bullshit from astrology to witchcraft. But maybe you just do them for fun or some other reason I don't understand I dunno.

Okay this topic got me thinking if i have anything that can be construed of as a superstition and the only thing i could think of is that i like to wear this green head band whenever i travel to different countries. I do not have any false notions that i would think it would bring me good luck or anything like that but i like the nostalgic value of knowing that it goes where i go. is that a superstition?

Nah, I wouldn't call that a superstition. More like just a habit.

And yeh, of course we (or at least) I know there's nothing real behind this little "superstition" of mine. It's just a fun little thing :P

I kinda see it as your strength. You're not stuck with the same patterns and styles so you put out much more variety than many other designers (like my).
then again i don't know anything
maybe easier not to think abouut alöl things thought than not things thought ... or something..=?

If I join a battle late and don't win, I always play it more afterward just to prove how bad wintime it was, and I keep play it until I am satisfied, not only to beat wintime.
Even if a new battle starts, I will play this until it has a good time and then join the current battle.

This happens often in TL levels because he always put too little time, I hate to see good levels not having a decent best time.
I also write the times I make in the chat.

I always pictured elma as this haven for obsessive compulsive fellas like me.

It is the modern tetris, because you can't ever really "win" a level.
And every single mistake is apparent and evident as it can be.

It'll never be perfect.

It is hell.

That's why it is addictive,
