An Idea About Designing Levels !

Hey, just had this idea during a french class...

What about creating a site, a little like the polygon producers ( because the team or site isn't updated anymore ), that would only be about nice and good lookin' textured levels !

I would really like good designers like Juble, HaraldH, and talented designers... not a guy that only does crappy levels...

If anyone wants to do the site, he can propose himself !
( If no one propose himself, I can still so it but it won't be as good !

)

yeah... would be good... do u think u'll have different themes or different categories (0-15 sec levs, 16-30 sec levs, etc)???

i cant do any webmastering but ill join for sure...

Let some talanted webmaster do the page where u can upload levels and registered users can rate playabilty, design, etc. of them from 0 to 10

That would be very good.

Other tries of making levmaker sites like this have failed imo

But I think if you do like 8balle says with a good automatic uploading and rating system and then make it so you can send in records for the levs. Then it would be so the record on the levs that have the highest scores would be most prestigious. And if there was a "king list" a record on a higher rated lev would give more points...

Does anyone understand what i mean

sounds good... could be a new BIG think if it will succeed..
talented webmaster..... just someone who can do simple good sites (like brinkens (it got what it needs)). Not needed "everything else" on the site...

We could also do a LOM section where people send their level, if it ain't contradictory to any rules on Moposite ! Maybe it has some kind of owning on the LOM levels ....

Anyway, continue to talk about it, seems like it will be more than great

But I can't really make tough fancy stuff like uploading and rating stuff.
But I'm willing to make the page. Then it would be nice if someone made that php stuff.

damn Kopa, some bango page made with frontpage and with mango frames isn't a nice site, we need some php worm, that can do rating and uploading stuff... Viper_KillerGuy? maybe Xian can do it?

i think it's good, if u wanna have only good designers. (they might do lots of bad, but there might be some really good)

Well, HAYDNATOR , there ain't no concrete themes to your level but , if you want, ou can do levels around a theme, could make them even more interesting !

BTW, I've almost finished my first level for the site ! Will send it to Kopaka today or tomorrow ...yahooo

There are too mayn levs that are made and look nice but arnt fun to play soo hopfuly you will fillter out the boring levs evne if they have nice textures....

I totally disagree, its the way that the designer wants it to be. playability always comes first not if it looks nice :S

thats pretty much exactly what i meant... i said that if there r any good levels with no texture then somebody should make them look nice but keep there shape... so i do think playability comes first.. but it should look nice aswell

I don't think levs that are sent in should be "retouchÃ©ed" or whatever the word is. Take insane guy's levs for instance, they look nice even if they're not textured.

If you BoneLESS sent my a mail or something about who is members, who I should add on the site, it would be nice.

And levels sent from other ppl, members could take a look at first, and vote/decide if they should be put on the site.

all that sax in that site is background and buttons - not visible on low resolutions i think
