The Quitting Topic !

Post by petsen »

Well i can just admit it even though i dont wanna realize it, im quitting the serious elma playing now, elma has become to much of the same for me now after 3 years of unendless playing everyday. I wont delete elma though still want to play in the current team-cup, but my elma carreer has been at its peak a long time ago and now its time to quit before it gets worse, sadly i havent accomplished anything, neither wrs nor anything else but i had lotta fun.

Internal playing and tt hoyling is over for me now, my final elma goal though has not been accomplised (wanted to get 40.55.xx tt, same as pajen when he quitted) but not everything needs to be done right.
few battles and tc ill still play but when tc ends i dont think i will play any other competitions nor play battles anymore.. But i do wanna attend the nice elma meetings here in denmark aswell as the international one in sweden if it can be succeded to arrange.

thats it from me, from now on use this topic to tell ur ending story...

I wont quit until I make a mark on the scene, like winning a GAA or something...

i dont really know what to consider quitting, i can imagine one being close to it if he really deletes everything elma related from computer or taking backups but most importantly, prevents access to elma things, or elma game files if its only about quitting playing, but that i wouldn't consider quitting since in elma its normally other things than playing itself which takes most time.

i dont personally like to think about it as just quitting right now, it feels like trying to lose weight by almost completely stopping eating and realizing after a week or two that you just cannot make it this way. quitting elma, as well as a good diet, has to be balanced. one should try to achieve his goals by little steps rather than huge leaps. i dont belive i will never say "now i quit", i belive some day i will just suddenly realize it has happened more or less, but that day is yet to come far in future Image

I really can't see elma seriously enough to think of playing less seriously as quitting. I almost never play internals anymore.. does that mean i've quit? Pff. I play almost nothing other than pipes at the moment, though i'm sure when the next WC comes along i'll play that like crazy (hint, hint, px). The idea of deleting elma from my 120GB HDD is just silly. The addiction wears off after a while anyway :)

I've played the game a while now(EDIT: month or so), and i think i'll never be as good as the wr-brakers in the elma-scene.
Still i have a dream to be noticed by the elma people.

The problem is, that elma is taking all my free time, and keeping me up at night. I didn't think it as a problem, until my friends started wondering why i wen't to the atk-class in the middle of school, just to play elma.
I've tried to play less elma now, so it won't have total control over me, but it's very difficult.
I don't wan't to stop playing elma! Why can't days be 54 hours long?
This is really making me sad.

EDIT: blah. serious mis-arviointeja here. So really haven't played more than maybe a couple of months or a month. (ok maybe i've had elma a year or two but haven't played it until now)

My tt is so lousy, that i can't even say it out loud.

so thats my quitting story...

about two months ago, my mom took away my comp because she thought it keeps me away from learning for school. so i was without elma for atleast 3-4 weeks, and then it happend, i wasn't addicted to elma anymore...
sometimes i miss parts of my addiction, even if it sounds kinda weird. but i'll maybe find some motivation to design some fucking great lvls...

juble, i'm the king of LOM 2003...muAhAHhAHHAHAHAHAHAh!!!!!

I think that i am going to quit as soon as my computer has hard drive crash or whatever--it is rather unstable now. But i doubt i will ever forget this silly little game, even as i sit on my deathbed.

I'm thinking of quitting elma. I'm quite desapointed coz i didnt really well play (maybe except the former +45 wr on spiral) but elma begin more and more boring. I hope new int will be design coz all those WR are unbeatable (except for dmd of course).

I am leaving the scene from here on cause of cheating.
My real totaltime was 42,06 when I started using state edit.
Therefore I couldn't show my recs to you guys.
I wanted to be so good and respected and that's the reason I did this, but I really think that it was an stupid idea... But it's easy to think like that after you done it.

In prv message from dyroxian 11th of May.
Dyrox wrote:Varför skulle jag visa mina recs? Jag har inte lust att göra det, om de vill tro att jag fuskar så får de väl göra det då.
"why should I show my recs? I don't feel like doing that, if they think I'm a cheater it's up to them."

Such fake. He told me he was glad I still trusted him

I was suprised when Dyrox some time ago sent me a prv msg, like "welcome, nice you are also swedish ..". Also talked some on Irc.
I found out about Dyrox - Xian a while ago, most ppl knew it I guess. I thought it was a nice swe kuski, though split personality but ok... till know!

This is bad. I've heard most ppl didn't like Xian... Neither do I :!:

Well, i know it's not a great act to cheat but, at least he didn't cheated on all the other small contests he participated. Even if he cheated, he's still a good player, 42;xx of total time is very good for me :D Anyway, i'm still deceived you cheated Dyrox  You seemed to be an honest guy ...

Why couldnt you just confess much much much earlier, we all "knew" it already, now it seems sooo pathetic

Because of things like this elma scene is so MAX paranoid everytime some new guy arrives with good times, YOUR SELFISH ACT WILL DO HARM FOR ALL UPCOMING NOOBS, think about that

come on guys, he didn't have any other option than confessing after i posted the url in KOM poll.
dyrox, you betrayed my trust in you twice. i won't forgive you ever, no matter how much confessions you'll make. i thought you're a great player and a honest one too, but you was just a lame cheater.

AITM still lives, but its not your team anymore. you probably don't know what is a team if you lie to your teammates, and in the team forum too. now please delete that Java off elmatimes.php, he's not AITM.

our ICQ chat after Dreyfus has been recovered :

WkE : and you wanted me to trust you
Dyrox : Sorry
WkE : no more dreyfus, then?
Dyrox : No more Dreyfus
Dyrox : Sorry
WkE : ok, i'll forgive you coz you admited
Dyrox : Thank you! You are the best!

now how the hell did you dare to lie me again after that?

The only people who have succesfully quitted HAVE NOT wrote in a quitting topic! It just begging for other people to comment

Some of you might have noticed that i haven't been much around lately. From one day to another, I realized that i didn't want to play anymore. At that time, I'd reached my peak a long long time ago.
Now, about a year later, i've started to hang out in across, elma.hu and elma.ru a bit more often, i even started playing a bit again, so someday i might fully join the scene again, time will show 8)
