Ok, I need a bit more Freefall help :?

When you are at the triangle are you supposed to gas all the time? Something more I've to think about? Just need help to get from the triangle to flower. I have touched the start polygon a few times after apple but never the flower. :x

the answer is: no, dont gas all the time. unfortunately you need to get as close to death as possible without actually dying; being a pussy is not an option. very good players (i.e. 11,5x-11,6x) seem to be able to do this with quite low jumps but i found i needed max height from start hang in order to do this, so keep hoyling that. eventually you get such lovely height that its almost impsy not to reach flower.

Well, you can do that hang both with using alo or using a right rotation. But nevermind, I'll go hoyl some more.

I really really don't get Flat Track.

Seriously, how do you manage to put enough fast swing without braking too much to gain enough speed to jump all over the last big gap?

I manage to do the swing almost identically with good merge replay but I just can't get enough speed after the jump. I always have to brake too much to have balance before the jump.

Someone who has made the big jump succesfully, please share your comments...

I'm desperate!

personally I cant do even to first jump, but I think the secret is there anyway, its the timing, I think they "jump" somehow earlier than your mind says and the braking, do they even brake, I dont know, tricki lev, good luck(for me too) :?

i made goof flatrack ride once and it was after 5 mins of trying the start without turning
you simply get higher speed, if you're not turned that much i think
if you turn and press gas, you're turned too much if you do good first jump
if you do not that good start, you had to gas to save yourself

one more question about enigma.
what is the trick to land on backwheel after killers, i nerver manage with that.
i always land with front or both wheels.
Should i do the killer trick as late as possible or as soon as possible or something else?
Nothing anymore....

its probably more about accelerating in the air. if you're facing backwards (towards the right side of the level) in the air and you're accelerating, you'll be spinning extra fast towards the ground and are most likely to land on front wheel. if you let go of gas, or maybe even accelerate facing the other way, it will counter much of this spin.

i guess its not about accelerating in the air
i personally don't accelerate in the air (atleast in my best rec) and touch the ground with back wheel
its about the speed
you you go slower, you're longer in the air => you turn more => you touch the ground with front to both wheels

I guess it's the combination of those two then. When you go slow, accelerate, when going fast, don't.

John wrote:When alovolting out from starting balcony dont use full gas, I tested the lev some and I release gas just before the backwheel leave ground. U make 2 alovolts/supervolts (whatevah) and when ur wheel touches that platform (u dont want to land too far to the left on it, therefore not full gas at beginning) u press gas+brake+right. Hopefully your frontwheel will get a good angle (slightly just under the startingbalcony), now release brake and squeeze yourself down under the startingbalcony turning your head away from it.
This helped some I think

start holding gas. press alo at about .70s, then press space and let go of gas (and let go of alo if it helps) at 1.1s and then press gas and alo again at 1.25s (although you wont alo again until 1.65s). The times are just to give a rough idea how long you let go of gas.
Hey i didn't know it was .95s between alo's. There you go.
Tm wrote:i dont get AH one round bouce i do everything good all tricks but never do teh bounce .any help?
i found that letting go of gas while compressing worked.

copy WR replay and then hoyla. Just watch every single move in slow-motion if needed. Then hoyla again.. that is a fact. Just watch and hoyl!

if u watch closely in ur rec sierra, u start gassing earlier than the moporec allowing u to pass it cuz it broke for a split second more. this action of gassing too early probably didnt give u enough speed cuz instead of getting speed from the recoil of braking, u lost speed from gassing too early. In easiest terms, u didnt get the full potential of the brake off of the hill and as a result , lost speed.

Hmm, maybe so. But should I really need as much speed as moporec anyway to finish the level? Plenty of idiots can do Steppes, surely not everyone does the start perfect.

I know that noob angers you but you dont have to fill the board with crap :D

Yeah crypt, here's a tip. When your total time is still so much over 1 hour, just dont try to be like pros with tt under 50. Dont try to compare yourself to them, dont try to be like them, just play enough and one day you will have tt under 50 minits.

really i don't think there's anything wrong with a 1htt person trying headbanger shortcut. it's max ez just play it a while and see

and no need to make 50tt seem like such a big achievement... tt under 50 should take a few weeks max, maybe you're not watching very helpful replays

Few weeks from 1h 10minits? Absolutely not. When I had tt under 55, I had played for many months.

At least for me, under 50 is really something looking forward to have. I dont know when i will have patience to hoyl enough.
