Well, if not skint0r than cloud for sure, max knowledge of the elma scene.

I hope being a jury member will not cause unavailabilty of running as a nominee at some category. or is it?

aavv didn't really appear from nowhere. he was known for some time (to me at least) with a 48/47 mins TT and then went on little hoyling sprees and made insane improvements, doing most shortcuts very ez (lab pro in 3 days, AH in one day). does good in battles too.

I correct it then. The nowhere was only for the portuguese kuskis.
So I think he should be named. I didn't even know about those quick improvements of him. Anyway, this last year I wasn't much into Elma so there may be many others...

i agree, aavv's skill isn't much appreciated by the guys in the scene. go look at "announce when you break a minute limit in TT" thread and see how quick he wiped off time. i used to be almost same as him. ROFL. now he's some 2 minutes faster.

I'm not even sure myself if I was serious. It was one of those wacky ideas that seems crazy, but just might be good. Probably how Roosevelt felt in Hiroshima. I mean at least Darm does have great (if not the best) knowledge of internals, and internal styles. And he can surely appreciate how good a time is when he compares it to his own cheated time, and sees it very close (or sometimes beaten).

But moving on to a more realistic candidate: ramone

Instructions of voting progress

First step:
You can reply to this topic and tell your favourite candidates and suggestions to categories. Please list clearly the category and then the suggestion(s). Note: you aren't allowed to vote in the third step unless you give any suggestions (one is compulsory but more recommended) in this step. Arguments are appreciated.

Deadline: 8 Nov 2004 0:01 EET

Second step:
The jury will choose ten candidates to each category. We will have a special choosing progress. Since there are 15 categories and 10 candidates in each category we need 150 for total. That means 25 for each of us because we have 6 members in jury. For example in Level category (just a sample) Karlis gives the first candidate, then SveinR, then me, then milagros, then Jalli, BarTek and then again Karlis, SveinR, me and milagros. Then in the next category SveinR gives the first vote, then me etc. The jury members will choose the candidates according to their experince and knowledge (most likely they will be also reading community's suggestions).

Deadline: we will do this as soon as we are able to

Third step:
Now we have top10 for each category available. Now again the Elma community can vote. The criteria of being allowed to vote are: well-known kuski (decided by the jury) and the kuski have posted some suggestions in first step (so we see that he has been active during the whole process). OR you don't have to be well-known IF you posted a nice suggestion list with reasonable arguments. You don't have to vote in every category but if you do vote in some category you must pick up top5 and not just top1 or top3. So choose top5 or nothing, is the point.

Deadline: later

Fourth step:
We will collect top5 of each category from people's list for the final show. We will count the points for candidates: 5 points to every first position in some kuski's list, 4 points to every second position in some kuski's list etc. So this step will be done absolutely according to your votes.

Fifth step (The final show):
The jury members will vote in live show (on #across at IRCNet) and the winners can have a speech if they have one. Also the prizes are revealed.

Date and time: later

--
We hope this won't take too long but we don't promised the final show is held before the 2005.

Now ask questions and post here your well-thought candidates with care before 8 Nov 2004 0:01 EET.

15:29:21 < sierra1> what's definition of a Rookie

The player appeared to scene during the period between GAA03 and GAA04. He had not played the game much (finished all the levels is maximum) before that.

It's WRs that have been made in that period (Feb 2003 - now)
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?

Here we go,
My suggestions:

- TEAM -
(1) [ICE] - One of the newest top teams but still probably the best in spirit, members, times, activeness and all.
(2) [FM] - Of course, the flowermen is one of the top choices for this category as it is one of the oldest team on the table.
(3) [MK] - Couldn't not suggest my team. It's probably the biggest and most active team on the scene at the moment. Has a big community with site(s), forums, IRC channel.
(Alternates) - [COS], [TAP], [WNO], [Ook!], [RET], [AC]

- INTERNALIST -
(1) TorInge - Definately my top choice. Reason - 37TT in 24 hours. That's one of the greatest achievements ever, also he has many decent WRs, second best TT and more.
(2) Zweq - No reason.
(3) Karlis - Yes, omgarlis is still coming with some very hoyled WRs.
(Alternates) - Ramzi, Cloud, Stini, milagros, Luther, ANpDaD

- EXTERNALIST -
(1) axxu - You deserve it man. Impsy WRs on 2 out of 3 level packs in the world.
(2) BarTek - Still leading the KingList, pretty decent times in other places too.
(3) Tisk - Dominating Lost Internals table and 2nd place in KingList total points.
(Alternates) - Crazy, Markku, nh, ANpDaD, TarGEnoR, The_BoneLESS

- BATTLER -
(1) Markku - Who can have a surprise about this? Sickest battler alive, see him playing and you won't have a doubt. Says his time in last 30 seconds and wins.
(2) John - Is it someone who can beat Markku? If there is one, it is this guy. Kinda dominating #battle these days but you need years for king status.
(3) veezay - another obvious choice. Just wins the battles. Short or long. But a requirement for this is that above 2 guys are offline.
(Alternates) - Zrex, Zox, axxu, Zweq

- ROOKIE -
(1) axxu - became good extremely fast. Extremely good skills, external pack WRs, battle results and internal times. Getting there.
(2) Sierra - yes, this dude, who was over 50 mins few months ago is now under 44 mins and improving hell fast. Has a Top-10 time in Ramp Frenzy and many NWRs.
(3) Boomer 88 - this dude also improved hell fast to about 45 mins when he started. 7 mins in a week if my memory is right.
(Alternates) - Juski, 8-ball (^_^), Fluff, CaeZar, Grinder

- WR -
(1) ramone and Zig Zag - in my opinion - one of the best WRs ever with a new neat style.
(2) TorInge and Serpents Tale - one of the best and hardest WRs ever with again a new style.
(3) mr and Quick Round - one neat style. Now very many people have done that but again, he was first who did it.
(Alternates) - psy and Apple Harvest, Zsolt and Flat Track, Cloud and Gravity Ride, Luther and Downhill, milagros and Curvaceous, TorInge and Framework, Stini and Enigma, Zweq and What The Heck

- MULTI WR -
(1) TorInge & Tantal - all their WRs - insane. Best multi team there is.
(2) Zweq & Juzam - all their ex & current WRs. Second best team.
(3) ramone & BarTek and Enigma - nice style.
(Alternates) - mr & ramone and Zig Zag, Know-How & Sathy - all

- STYLE -
(1) Serpents Tale (TorInge) - very hard but obvious.
(2) Curvaceous (milagros) - very good looking and interesting style.
(3) Zig Zag (ramone) - sick and probably hardest style.
(Alternates) - Quick Round, Freefall, Gravity Ride, What The Heck, Bowling

- REPLAY -
(1) Curvaceous by milagros - as I said above.
(2) Pipe by Stini - where the hell does he get that time?
(3) Old [IC] replay pack - one hell of a bunch of good replays by Cloud and TorInge there were...
(Alternates) -

- LEVEL -
(1) Chain Level by 15 people - The best level for cruising after Adventure ever. Good looking, many good designer and all.
(2) Tribute to SNUS by Bartek - long level for showing us how it is when using snus.. Has some annoying places but a good lev that took some time and effort.
(3) Best levels from Level Review topic - http://www.moposite.com/mopolauta/viewtopic.php?t=1590 .
- Uncle Mutant by 8-ball
- Basic Commando course by Juble
(Alternates) - PLP, MicroSquares, TT battles

- LEVEL DESIGNER -
(1) BarTek - for his amazing cruising levels.
(2) zebra - nice and good looking level, especially pipes.
(3) Ville J - bunch of great ones.
(Alternates) - Xhomaz, Sowjet, skint0r, Aliator, Chazz

- LGR -
(1) Pirate.lgr by Ville J - one of the best LGRs so far, huge ammount of images, no ripped ones, a good level and everything else needed to make a good LGR for externals.
(2) Default.lgr - best for internals.
(3) HighQ.lgr - best for those who think images are annoying for hoyling.
(Alternates) - Style.lgr, NiceTextures.lgr, Bugman.lgr

- CONTRIBUTION -
(1) Abula & PeXi - maintaining the biggest elma site on the net, our second home - Moposite!
(2) milagros - the anticheating tools are awesome for the community to show who the bad guys are.
(3) Hibernatus - the patches have made the world better.
(Alternates) - MP & Ville J - MopoCorner, SveinR - lauta moderating

- ACHIEVEMENT -
(1) TorInge and 24h TT driving - The most amazing achievement ever - driving 37 mins TT in 24 hours that means that almost all WR styles have been made in this round.
(2) Zweq and under 38 mins TT - was shocking at its time, very good.
(3) The Elma Scene and WR TT under 37 mins - He He ^_^

- SITE -
(1) Moposite - no reason.
(2) Mopocorner - good levels, stuff and maintaining.
(3) Team [MK] site - good looking, levels, +50TT NWR table, forum, and more.
(Alternates) - Kopashop, Team [ICE] site, Danish Elma and Across site

Updates coming later ok.

As I'm new and don't know much, obviously my comments won't be strong arguments. However I thought I would have my say:

- Internalist: Ramzi. He's playing them all, improving them all, and still not satisfied.
- Externalist: The_BoneLESS. He seems to play in almost every cup, as well as play other people's levels that most don't touch. And he gets decent times too.
- Battler: Veezay. I don't have a clue, but apparently he wins them.

- WR: Phillip's Spiral #184. He's the only one I know who spent weeks trying to get this time. I'm sure there were others, but 3 weeks. Wow.
- Style: milagros's curvaceous. This style rocks, and is very recent. Nowdays new styles are so rare, this is the only one I know of. edit: forgot ziggy and serpent's, but still that's only 3.
- Replay: 38tuurtn. TorInge's and Tantal's Curva Multi. Really impressive.

- Achievement: WRtt under 36. Credit should be given to Zweq's LP WR.
