How could this ever happen, its insane ;(
Totally agree,

Pirate : Lots of new pics, very well done, nice masks, everything is there
HighQ : Removed pics, made a small photoshop effect on the sky texture

Pirate : Must have took like 100 hours to make
HighQ : About an hour, 30 minutes

BarTek wrote:ok it has come to my attention ppl think i voted as i did beacuse i wanted to be some kind of rebel or whatever. Lol you mongo? First i think its ludacris that ppl react if i dont vote as the rest. What is this elma fascism shit.

<zw0r_MK> well bartek has voted max different than others

As i said to cloud:

"<extrabart> For ex I voted sierra as rookie, beacuse i dont know axxu and talk little to him. But i talk to sierra and i follow his progress in elma n battles etc"
lololololo if you don't know axxu how the hell can you be in the jury?!?! sorry but that just seems awkward, someone in the jury should know just a bit about the scene.... axxu has played almost all contests the past year hmm.

ye ok i get your point about following someone bartek... just think someone in the jury should have followed the scene through the whole period that's in concideration.

A jury shouldn´t just vote after his own opinion...they should talk and vote for the whole community...I don´t know what happened but it´s seems strange that BarTek votes on Sierra just because he talkes to that guy...How would it be if the jury in a court just would follow their own opinion instead of lissening to tha loyers and watch the evidence...this thing with a small jury seems stupid since it obviously didn´t work as it should....Is it just me who has noticed that BarTek can´t take criticism? :)...at least in this case I think wgat he says just sounds lol :)...more power to the people less to the jury ;)

"i know axxu, but even though if he would be the most Super Duper king player from another alternative universe it still wouldnt mean much if i didnt follow his progress" - BarTek

This is just lol :)...I don´t think you´ve understand you´re job as a jury if you hadn´t vote for that superduper king as the rookie of the year...:)

I feel sach a pity for Abula's problem of money from the donation, I wish I could do some donation, but I really don't know how.
Is it possible to make some banktransfer easily, without inet payment?
Because when there is I would surely donate a tiny amount of money to show my appreciation for this total event and ofcourse moposite in general. :)

GO MOPOSITE, and let there be a GAA every year!

I hope at least some people enjoyd the award and some good people won. Sorry if we fucked up. The system can be developed and I'm gladly hearing any suggestions here. Too bad you didn't show up _before_ the show or when we were making the GAA. The fact is that this wouldn't have done without the jury, the active people around it. SveinR kicked my ass all the time and got the progress going on.

It's not nice to hear such bad comments after a big work. But hey, it has always been same in this community. Nicolas, you should learn this ;].

mr and terb0 are visinting me and we are planning a trip to Sweden and maybe to see Zweq and Juzam. Sorry, not much time but I try to update them now.

Speeches:
Start speech:
19:04:47 <Abula_> 19:00 Hi everybody, nice to see you and to notice there are so many people present.
19:05:04 <Abula> This channel is +m so only operators and voiced people can talk. #gaa_talk is for free talk.
19:05:17 <Abula_> There are 15 categories and five candidates in each category. The candidates have been chosen
19:05:17 <Abula_> by the jury and the community. The exact voting progress is told on Mopolauta: http://www.moposite.com/mopolauta/viewt ... 5488#65488
19:05:35 * ThanaTos- (~ggg@245.80-202-229.nextgentel.com) has joined #gaa
19:06:13 <Abula_> The jury consists of 6 members: SveinR, Abula, milagros, BarTek, Karlis and Jalli. This is also the order. If we end up to draw it's SveinR's vote that matters. In next draw it's Abula's etc.
19:06:31 <Abula_> In a case when one of the jury members isn't able to give his vote here we get his vote from the email that has been sent to Abula beforehand.
19:06:48 <Abula_> If I'm disconnected and won't be back in a hour the final show is moved to next day (Saturday) at 19:00 EET.
19:07:07 <Abula_> Let's go. The first category and candidates in alphabetical order:

1. Internalist, Zweq

19:09:09 <zamppe> tnx
19:09:34 <zamppe> *goes off the stage* ;(

2. Externalist, axxu

19:11:56 <axxu> I like all kinds of externals alot, even though I thought I would be 100% Internalist when I started playing, however I was mistaken :S I want to thank everyone who voted for me, and everyone who has made nice levels and held nice contests. Externals are at least 50% of elma playing, so this award means alot to me, thanks!

3. Battler, Markku

19:15:13 <Abula_> Winner: Markku
19:15:31 <Abula_> nat here
19:15:39 <Abula_> [clap]

4. Rookie, axxu

19:17:45 <axxu> When I started playing I didn't have any clue I would get so good in elma. I would like to thank everyone who have pushed me forward in career and helped me making better results in everything. Special thanks to Luther, who has always given me hints how to get better success and just beeing a very good elma friend :* I'm very honoured to get this award, thanks!

5. Designer, Juble

19:21:44 <Abula_> yes its Juble
19:21:51 <Abula_> nat here
19:21:54 <Abula_> [clap]

6. Team, ICE

19:24:29 <MJXII_ICE> I wanna thank my teammates for being the great people they are, and generally combining to make such a great team to be in ^_^
19:25:01 <Cloud`> i said i would have a speech prepared and it's this: YEAH
19:25:03 <Cloud`> ¨=)
19:25:05 <Cloud`> thanks
19:25:36 <LutherGAA> I just want to say thanks to you all for voting us, and I think ICE will stand long because we have a great variety of players and a good team spirit (and a few internal fights eventually ;D ). Love y'all and ICE as well WHee
19:25:59 <Stini> btw give us the banking account numbers, so that we can pay you as promised ;)

7. WR, psy

19:30:30 <psy^> healo everybody! im happy to recieve this award because ah is probably my last bigger effort in elma, therefore my last change to win such award. thanks to everyone!
19:31:03 <psy^> thats it =)

8. Multi WR, ramone & BarTek

19:40:30 <ramonee> I am very happy I found this style and managed to get wr with it. Good thing I had BarTek to play with me cause otherwise wr would have been impossible. When at first I was getting close to succeeding with this trick, in singleplayer, and showed Nostrada and MP they said it was crazy or something. Anyhow, I succeded and was MAX happy. Now I just needed to do it again, in multiplayer. I called BarTek and we started to play, with across lgr (I made it in singleplayer with that lgr so I didnt think it would be possible with other) and finnaly got up.. BarTek didnt get apple. Hihi. Well.. 4 fuckup recs later we finished. It took some hours, but we had great fun playing it, at least I did. We paused with some Flag Tag which is cool. This was the first time I played multi and well... 2 at 1 keyboard can be tricky... much easier if not that. I am proud to win thisstill and I think I deserved to win this. I love Emili!

<BarTek> Heh yes the credit should go to ramone on this one. Uhm the style
was his 100%, hes a crazy sweazy mothafaka with the brutalz and
everthing. Best memories with this one must be that he did infact make
the style 3-4 times, ofcourse i screwed up my very hard part and we
almost gave up. But then we made it! (meaning i didnt die in end).
Thats my multiplayer life so far. And what a awesome wr it is rite?

9. Style, mr

19:55:20 <mr_fm_oul> ooh thanks, just arrived here to abula's place. hard to say anything.. it was one school day @ finnish elma channel and there was discussion about known unfinished styles and markku told his idea about qr style, i went home and it took about 2 hours and i finished it with time 44,44 and improved it to 40,69. Thanks to Markku for advice.

10. Replay, Luther

20:00:45 <LutherICE> I am honoured that my WR-replay is appreciated and thought of as good. I especially want to thank those players who made me inspired to go for a WR and lower my total time in the first place: Cloud, dz, Mick, oizo! - the players I frequently talked to back then, and whose comments made me develop my own Elma play.
20:00:54 <LutherICE> Now I'd also like to thank the entire scene for participating and creating these wonderful events, statistics, competitions and just the general fucking time consuming stuff we have, which has fucked up my entire adult life (so far) ;)
20:01:01 <LutherICE> I could list you all, but special thanks to ICE and you all present at FEM04, BarTek, ramone, oizo!, axxupaxxu, entire FM, all the Swedes playing and at last skint0r (for Bottle Rocket).
20:01:08 <LutherICE> The making of the 46,35 Downhill WR-replay was a long ongoing process - a long walk from the first WR-time I achieved, 48,82, with an improvement to 47,90 hence I finally drove the current GAA-winning WR-time, 46,35.
20:01:17 <LutherICE> In the two months of pure höyling, I discovered the beauty of playing one level really really hard. And the sweet feeling I got when I drove my first WR, inspired me to improve. When Darmoed beat my 47,90 with 47,27 I was seriously depressed and frustrated.
20:02:13 <LutherICE> For one week while not working, I played nine hours a day for seven days - finally making 46,35 (which is 0,5 seconds better than my second best time on the level). In the style searching I didn't talk to anyone about Downhill,
20:02:41 <LutherICE> because I was so certain I could beat it with some new unplayed styles, and I knew that if I was to beat Darmoed's time, I'd not only have to use new styles, but also drive them almost perfect. Though at this point I didn't expect Darmoed to be cheating at all (he didn't have as many WR:s back then). Finally I got it, and at the same time I broke the 41tt limit
20:03:37 <LutherICE> which also says how much that WR inspired me to improve other internal levels and take other WR:s (New Wave, Labyrinth Pro, Bowling, (Tag)).
20:03:45 <LutherICE> Anecdote, now with three minutes lower total time, my Downhill WR-time is now my oldest PR.
20:03:49 <LutherICE> THE END. :*

11. Level, MP

20:07:37 <Abula_> Winner: King Cup Event 04; WC Flush, by MP
20:09:13 <Abula_> Speech: nat
20:09:17 <Abula_> [clap]

12. LGR, Lucian

20:11:43 <Abula_> Winner: HighQ by Lucian
20:11:55 <Abula_> Speech: nat
20:12:25 <Abula_> [clap]

13. Contribution

20:16:08 <Viper_Kil> w00t!
20:16:21 <Viper_Kil> thanks everybody
20:16:40 <Viper_Kil> hope you'll continue to enjoy the scripts
20:16:59 <Viper_Kil> that's about it, thanks again
20:17:26 <Viper_Kil> remember! it's vk0.dk NOT vk.mine.nu
20:17:45 <Viper_Kil> maybe now people will listen
20:17:50 <Viper_Kil> !

14. Achievement

20:20:39 <Abula_> Jalli, you saw it IRL? anything to say?
20:21:25 <Jalli_ICE> Well, it really was amazing to watch him play those times that he did. I've never felt like a worse kuski in my entire life than when I was sitting next to him watching he do tricks in levs over and over while I struggled to do them once...
20:21:37 <Jalli_ICE> Serpents Tale 53 in less than 20 mins speaks for itself
20:22:30 * Karlis sets mode: +v Tantal_
20:22:40 <Abula_> Tantal too?
20:23:05 <Tantal_> :-o
20:23:19 <Abula_> Finnish stores get closed in 36mins, hurry up!
20:23:43 <Tantal_> yeye, it was sach great. Bestest player in history
20:23:48 <Tantal_> :-D

15. Site, Abula

20:27:34 <Abula_> Not everybody appreciates this victory (Moposhit!) but it's important to me - and us. There are many people behind the site and without them it wouldn't be running. Thanks to them; you know who you are. Yet we are going to win this award in the next years too so more work has to be done.
20:27:37 <Abula_> Tak

End speech:
[19:24:15] <Abula_> What's then? The prizes? Anything else? Good and bad news here.
[19:24:25] <Abula_> Good at first:
[19:24:25] <Abula_> I have taken pictures and filmed videos during the GAA04 and I have bought
[19:24:25] <Abula_> very cool stuff for the prizes.
[19:24:42] <Abula_> Then bad news: the warm-hearted donator has
[19:24:42] <Abula_> disappeared. So we kind of lack 200e now and I'm not sure when we will have
[19:24:42] <Abula_> enough money to cover the rest payments (there are more stuff needed to buy and
[19:24:42] <Abula_> also the posting). But but, the winners could tell their street addresses to me
[19:24:42] <Abula_> and I'll post the prizes whenever they get ready. And also publish an article
[19:24:43] <Abula_> of this. And web page. See you next year. :*
[19:25:43] <Abula_> come get your award in FEM05!
[19:25:43] <extrabart> hear hear (clap clap clap clap)
[19:25:43] <Abula_> That's it.
[19:25:51] <Abula_> we go to store now ->

Logs:
Download >>

Prizes:
Will be given in FEM05 or snal mailed if we get them ready (some money loss occured). Winners, PM your street addresses.

Rules:
Are told in earlier posts.

Ps. the reason why GAA wasn't in #across is that we weren't able to put +m (= silence) there.
Ps2. should we publish points of whole Top10s?
Ps3. tijsjoris: http://www.moposite.com/mopolauta/viewtopic.php?t=2722

It was really big work, and I have nothing against organisation of GAA.
My post was produced by fleeting resentment to peoples, who vote against me. May be in future I should more advertise my program.

I have only one small quesyion - on the what basis people was selected for voting on the step?

Just a note to those criticizing how this went on:

This is the second time this is arranged. Of course things doesn't work perfectly yet. It was arranged last time 1,5 years ago, and then it was quite a bit different in the process it went down. So now we have the experience of having done this two times, we see what work, what don't work as good, and what can be improved. So in the next GAA which will take place around one year from now, we will have these experiences from GAA03 and GAA04 to look at, and the arrangement should just become better and better.

anyways thanks to people who enjoyed my levels and voted for me(even though my most active time was over 1 year ago), I also had a speech, but 4am in the morning when you have to get up at 7am for work is hard(stupid timezones), so thats the reason for me not being there :)

Not in this case. It was in this order of votes that mattered: SveinR, Abula, milagros, BarTek, Karlis, Jalli.
If one used his 'power', he would be transferred to the back of that list. I had used mine on one category before this, so here it was milagros's vote that mattered.

Today we got the 250e donation. So now I have the money to cover the prize costs. But I don't hurry because we are going to give those prizes in the FEM05.

They will get the prizes by snail mail then - of course. I thought this was obvious.

Final words

So the prizes were delivered to the winners in FEM05. You have probably seen the video and pictures of the gala.

Unfortunately some players didn't come there to get their trophys. But they will get them by snail mail in a year or two. Seriously I'm trying to send them as soon as possible (just waiting for Lucian's response for a few days).

All the costs are about 200e, including the apples, trophys, spray and shipping fees. Thank you very much who donated the money (s/he wants to stay nameless).

I uploaded some pictures which I've been photographing during the procedure. So if you are interested to see even more GAA related pictures:

I really hope the winners and the community like the prizes and appreciate the effort we made for them. Should this be an annual tradition. What do you think?
