Inspiration Idol - Who Inspired You?

Post by Juble »

Who Inspired you to do what you do?..It might be a WR holder, cool Level designer, great externalist or someone who motivated you for your results to date?

Also when naming someone, try to tell the reason behind it.

Well mine was m0nkeii. Why?....Coz he was the Australian level designer when I started, I really admired his levels as a n00b and he was coming mostly in the top5 in LOM at that stage, came 3rd at the end of 2002. This made me want to do the same the next year. I also loved hoyling his levels for hours, the only levs that made me play that long back then. Thats all I can think of now :).

Olliz truly inspired me when I first started making levels. I was just amazed how he made interesting stuff in his levs. Long time I played his levs all the time, and copied some nice tricks to my own levs. He has inspired me in every way, you know I'm making lots of fun driving levs. I could say he was my elma idol back then. Maybe not so much anymore cuz he has been inactive lately. I'd really like to play some new levels from him.

ez jaytea. firstly he's the guy who got me into elma. secondly it was his times that made me hoyl so hard when starting out; i had to beat him in every level. at first it seemed so hard, i used to make these Excel tables comparing his stats to mine (the days before i knew of stats websites  ) and as we are a two-man team (PST) obviously i whaned all the TRs. I remember being so happy the day I finally beat him in tt, then he pretty much stopped playing internals for ages, until about 2 weeks ago in fact.

I remember when I had 5x tt I used to compare my times to Napoleon alot :P Was always happy when I passed someone on the danish total time table, so I guess then some danish average players was the ppl that inspirated me the most to hoyl internals.

Tor inspires me to do most of the things I do, but I'm still distinctly mediocre so he's got some more work to do there

My friend(Krazy <-- miss-spelt) who first showed me elma, omg when we watched his rec on downhill I could not believe he finnished such a long lev (We did not know about AH back then)
-and how long we were playing before we got first apple and survived in what tah heck

He had a friend (named joni!) who had finnished all levs. My friend had got elma from him so all his times in game. He beat us in almost every lev. That was inspiering..

Wke inspired me cause he was as good as i was but he always broke my times.

boomer inspired me cause is insane TT drop like 7 mins in a week or something, a little later i did that too.

Great players have never inspired me becausethey are too good, thay dont play the game on my level and in the beginning when i stárted play elma i couldt use any great styles.

my idols where the PRA team... remember when i and tobak sat at my house playing their Sahara levels for days... finally we got some records and that was BIG to get on their recordtables... After a while I got to know Julmust (3litre) and champion and they were really nice, down to earth people.. cahmpion helped our team APP alot back in the days with some replays and stuff...

Me and tobak were to visit julmust, mandel and the other guys at piteå dansar å ler one summer but unfortunately that never happend... would have been fun...

psy (anthro) also inspired alot to play with his ap-tracks... still play em!!

my first great idol was zyntifox just becoz he had both Warm Up and Flat Track WRs when I first found WR table, also he has the second coolest nick in elma history (after Deadelous)

speaking of Deadelous, he inspired me a lot and he always did have the right advice when i was trying a new internal trick, I think he is one of the greatest elma players ever :*
