Elma recruit

Post by onlainari »

Code: Select all

1. Have you recruited new players to play elastomania?

2. Have you even got some people to join the scene? (mopolauta, contests,IRC channels)

3. Who recruited you or did you find the game by yourself?
3. I wasn't really recruited when I started playing across. But I remember that first year in the high school, first autumn, we went to drink beers to this one fellow who had elastomania. I played across first at this guy's place: www.irc.fi/red5

Then Kimitys: www.irc.fi/kimitys got me to the second base. He hooked me to the scene. Dec98-Jan99 I used ICQ to contact other NHL99 players and I got added to this kimis icq-list because he had searched that has "across" in interests in icq info. :) Then he just asked me to join #across since I liked the game and bjoingz.

1. I haven't recruited much I think. I have installed Elma to couple of my friends PC, but I hail for elastomania in school all the time along with nhl94 :)

2. I don't know if I told swos in icq to join #across back then at early 1999 because he was playing NHL99 aswell or maybe he asked me.

note: nominee for the "the most couldn't care less topic in lauta" award maybe?

1. Yes i've introduced elastomania to a friend of mine at uni here and he loves it. He's still trying to finish all levels though, I think his WU~20s.
2. I haven't told him about moposite because I think he needs to play the game a bit more and I don't really want him to know how involved I am with this game.
3. I was recruited by a Norweigian trial biker. He is an international student at uni here and we became friends and then he showed me this game. He also introduced me to moposite, but i found mopolauta myself. He has quit elma now, and I miss the contests we had between each other. Juble told me about #across.

3. I got this game from a friend with the comment: "You will have some fun with this game for some days!"
He didn't foresee that I would get hooked.
In fact I played this game, and I thought it was something mario-like. =)
Then I went to elastomania.com and found a site with cool levs, and I remember those as the best levels ever, and I still try to refind them somewhere on the internet. moposite I found by myself, lauta too, and #across I downloaded mirc for that, and it took me awhile to get there.
1. I got like 12 ppl to play elma. But in fact only 2 kinda serious. One had warm up 14.65 so that was alright. The other one is Maty, with tt under hour, so he's ok too. :)
2. Well, maybe you know maty in team OTL, I got him to #battle sometimes. :)

1. many of my friends installed elma and tested on their comps when they saw me playing it. But only one of them started to play it really actively.... hindersh

2. well hindersh is registered here and he have been on #across and these channels a couple of times...

3. I first saw teh game when my cousin was playing it, that must been when across was very new and only 1.0 was available. But I played it myself for first time some time after 1.2 had been released

1. Last year in the school I went to back then I installed the game on the server so it was on all comps, and alot played it, it was like only game on the comps beside CS. Now in new school I am in class where we are using laptops in classes, I've sent the game to quite some of the ppl in the glass. Some have played more than others, but no one really seriously, though two guys have each beated one of my times, short time after I beated the flat track, but someone in my class still have better time than me in Sink.

2. No.

3. My big brother introduced me to the across which he had gotten from a friend this was in 1999 I reckon, I soon got better than him ;) After some time playing I checked out the official site, where I found out about the new version Elasto Mania :P. I played the demo some, made some levels, uninstalled, installed again, played some more. Then in 2002 my brother got Elasto Mania full version, and I soon got hooked for good ;). Found danish site and moposite some time after. My brother still haven't completed all levels I think.

1. No

2. No

3. Me, Tuska, Carju, Ultra started to play Across same day if I remember correct. We got the game from our class mate. Tuska had WRs and was quite good player (no playing anymore). Carju was the best of us in Across if we look at total time. He really didn't play Elma, got 50mins total time or something. Ultra played more Elma than Carju, got total time 48mins (still on Moposite top500). Carju is my room mate and he saw when I improved my Enigma (24,44) and Zig Zag (1:16,22). He doesn't want to get addicted again though. Ultra is willing to get the game but I don't want to warez it to him. Should I?

I think it might've been the Skint levels. They're quite close to what I remember. :)

I tried to put all my class addicted to elma but only 2 tried (1 managed to finish all levs 8) )

2. Have you even got some people to join the scene?(mopolauta, contests,IRC channels)

Kalinas (irc nick) is geting kinda addicted to the game and to the scene.
He often goes to #across and #battle and maybe in near future he will send some times to a contest.

3. Who recruited you or did you find the game by yourself?

My cousin Bandarra recruited me and aavv but he stoped playing after some months..
