Never lost it and haven't ever gotten corrupted state that I can remember.
When I think about it I should do a new backup, it was a while since last time.

copy to cd/dvd, second hard disk, upload to inet, make another copy like state.bak (only good for corruption)

Maybe they should make an option which backs up your state into another folder automatically. By date, times, or something like that.

And then, they could perhaps also add an option like "Corrupt State". When you're angry or something.

i made 14.67 in flat track, 23.11 in hang tight, 1.22.81 in AH, 15.41 in hooked and then my computer opened a notepad and there was a text: stop being an elma no-life, you are a boring fat mongo and deleted by state.dat and suddenly my skills decreased.

I have just lost everything. Had to reinstall windows. I have 1 rec and 2 externals, the 1 rec being my fastest time on warm up, which is the only level i have finished so far. Starting again might be too much for me.

omg that's so true. mutilated my previous times for the first 4 levels already. uphill is being mongo.
and tijs, because of that^, unless i can merge states i would rather start again. my state was pretty crappy anyway.

You know what you got to do? First play through the whole game, then ask abula for your old state and rename it to merge.dat and put it in your elma folder. Then start elma, and you got your old times with your new times.

But before that, beat all your old times.

Well when you got your old state back you wouldn't have to beat your times, or get a time at all. With no levels finished, you would.

I'm curious, how do you guys lose your state.dats? I've been playing for 3 years, with several harddrive crashes, but never lost my state.dat, only once when it got currupted. That's the only time I had to use backup.

when u first have teh "talent" or teh styles in your head, it will go faster than u think right? Im sure, that if he tries to do teh styles, which he master now i guess, alot, am sure it wont take him 4369450 times.....
