Appreciation for 1.11h

Post by GuyB »

I spoke with Hibernatus before and I found out that very few people had said thank you for all the work he have put in the patch, the new system on moposite ect

That it sad, i think, so this thread is purely for people who want to thank him for all his work, for our benefit

SO hib, Thank you for all you´ve done

I thank also Hib about his awesome works for the scene (just passed Hib's total time with the patch :P). We really appreciate. Sometimes it's just too hard to give good feedback.

Off-topic:
Has anyone noticed how great person GuyB is? He's always joyful, sincere and especially friendly. Thanks to him too.

hooked again

Post by onlainari »

cool tahknks...this is kind of present for me cuz I just downloaded the patch yesterday. well...I hoyled internals first time since 1,5 years and I improved warm up to 14.40 from 14.42 and over and under to 32.82 from 33.08 and not only that....I just made a whole new homepage. all this took hmm...10 hours... you can see my homepage at http://www.kolumbus.fi/ensiputkitus/elma/ ..so at least the patch got me a bit hooked again, and one thing that really was cool was the possibilites u can do when ur watching replays,t/y dude

hihi, :* ribot
and Hiberbatus... Thanks, for a long time I didn´t care about alovolt, seemed unneccesary for my styles so when the program came I didn´t care about downloading it, but when Dz put it on his site I thought "what the heck" and downloaded it, there the file was, just waiting to be installed, still it took a while to get the finger out of my ass, and one day I installed it... the alotrick is really great that everyone can use it, I don´t care so much about using it myself, but the fact that the elmascene has grown to a more equal place really pleases me... so once again Thanks.
The best about the patch for me is the merge and fwd replays, I can now look through (search for specific rec faster etc) long replays and merge without needing to copy recs intothe nitropatch, this really rocks.

And if you sometimes update your patch it would be great to add a feature that would save my page up/page down buttons... Just write the first letter(s) in the lev/rec and get directly there, just like the phonebook of your cellphone... many people are lazy and just put all recs in one dir, and never deletes/moves old ones... ye, you see... Or, of course anyone is free to make this patch if they have the skills, maybe someone allready got it ;)

yeye, thanks again

The patch makes it very easier if you just will see something a long time in the replay and to see hard tricks slow. :D

I know I would not appreciate playing elma as much as I do, if it wasn't for the patches you've made. Thank you so much, they're really great. I'm looking forward to trying the new update now. =)
Also, I would like to thank the staff on Moposite, and especially for the new design and the records section. I think I've visited the site about 10 times as much after that part got up. =)
My regards

GuyB is soooo cool. Want to thank me? Then play GuyB's contests and erase my sucky times! They are a shame for me!
It's nice to see that my patch is used by many people, i was afraid of doing something useless. Well at least i know that the record lists generator is usefull, and abula uses it sooo well (nice layout!) :)

ramone: Ok. Maybe i'll make it when i have some spare time and softice (disassembling without debugging is very tiring). It should not be too hard. Ribot's idea, on the other hand, is not easily possible in a patch (folders).

that replay letter locator is something which we everyone need all the time, so it wouldn't be hacked for nothing at least :)

(Back On Topic)

Thanks to Hibernatus the elma comunity is greater and new boundaries can be explored. The greatness of theis patch and its predecessor is not limmited to alovolt the ability to sort externals into files is somthing that i will be forever grateful for!!

1.11hb is so good because: alovolt, merge, levpacks(though I don't use this feature), quick jump to levs and recs names, alt. brake(thought I don't use this feature).

Heh, few days ago I discovered what that can be used for :)
If you play multi on one keyboard, the player that is sitting to the right can have an Esc alias, so he easier can press esc.

Just pointing out, the final version of Elma 1.2 patch was released two days ago. No more that ugly "Beta version" intro screen. ;)

Get it from here:

.. or alternatively from my site.
