And about those replay begging: it's nothing these days when professional replays are available on web (well actually not now but anyway).

they can be nice and innovating, or dumb and noisy... and "Replays And Times" is special place for asking replays, so just skip that section and you'll never get bad mood

everyone was a noobilainen once and anyone with a true elma desire begged recs, maybe concretically, maybe psychologically. newbiews come pros and start to dislike new newbies rec begging. tats how it goes boys

Yeah, thats what i meant by semi-n00b, Ive been playing for a good few months now...hmm, very nearly a year...and i got some pretty damn sucky times, but some kind good ones...Ive a mid range player...below the pros and above the people who cant be bothered to register their scores

who cares, for me elma is about fun, not skills... is n00b about how long you played, or how good you are?

I didn't read any other posts than the first, but let me tell you a little bit of my own experience, as a n00b.

I remember when me and my friends (Omni, noddy) first stumbled over #across @ ircnet, where the whole across-scene really gathers etc. We met "famous" people like JohnDoe (old norwegian acrosser) and Joni (old finnish acrosser, did play som elma i think). We met more "famous" people, but they are the two I can remember right now.

We (of course) asked them for some RECs, as the one on the KGB site (anyone still remember that?) weren't good enough anymore. When they actually sent us recs, we could barely believe it. Okay, so it wasn't the WR recs, but still.. they showed us new tacs and new techniques, so we we're pretty satisfied!

Im not really sure what my point is, I guess it is something like; Be nice to "n00bs" as they are the future

Of course, it's fun to jerk off with them, but isn't it better to help them?

(I agree some n00bs are total idiots just spamming you "CAN I HAVE YOUR RECS?", but /ignore <nick> would fix that.)

n00b = totallly not furmiliar with elma history.

So, I found elma about a year ago, and Across about a month after, I know EML, LOM and OLP, I dunno whose seen me before, but I'll try to be more noticed in future, my tt is 01:12:14:28 but will soon be under 1:10 and I onlt ASK for recs when someone tells me they have a good one.

I dont know what EML means, but i know LOM and OLP means.
My tt is 01:08:34:##, i started playing Elma in December 01 or
January 02. But i dont consider myself as a "n00b".
I think its important to help n00bÂ´s, becase they are the peopl thats going to rule the Elma WR Table when the "old guys" stop playing...

And just because people dont know much about Elma history, you arent a n00b.
