Theoretical minimum times

Post by Abula »

The below times are theoretical minimum times calculated by CandErz's program. The replays will be generated and maybe published later.

Code: Select all

1. Warm Up 0:14,02 <- to bad the magical limit won't ever be beaten
2. Flat Track 0:15,01
3. Twin Peaks 0:17,53 <- must be a new style
4. Over and Under 0:28,12 <- new style
5. Uphill Battle 0:19,99
6. Long Haul 0:30,12
7. Hi Flyer 0:32,19
8. Tag 0:20,61
9. Tunnel Terror 0:51,13 <- ?!?
10. The Steppes 0:11,55
11. Gravity Ride 0:22,41 <- any ideas?
12. Islands in the Sky 0:20,66
13. Hill Legend 0:15,67
14. Loop-de-Loop - <- "runtime error: 23054:652F" by the program, we have no idea why
15. Serpents Tale 0:51,12
16. New Wave 1:26,09
17. Labyrinth 0:54,47
18. Spiral 0:43,91
19. Turnaround 0:36,60
20. Upside Down 0:57,62
21. Hangman 0:14,47 <- seems like Karlis has got it near
22. Slalom 0:39,01
23. Quick Round 0:34,01 <- hm...
24. Ramp Frenzy 0:49,89
25. Precarious 0:24,43
26. Circuitous 0:22,20
27. Shelf Life 0:33,12
28. Bounce Back 0:50,02
29. Headbanger 0:41,65 <- and I thought I got a good time (46 secs)
30. Pipe 0:32,48 <- so the 0.84 limit doesn't allow the Pipe bounce
31. Animal Farm 1:13,01 <- must be a sweet rec
32. Steep Corner 0:43,18
33. Zig-Zag 0:55,29 <- the program almost crashed in this level
34. Bumpy Journey 0:36,45
35. Labyrinth Pro 2:08,68 <- uuh babe!
36. Fruit in the Den 0:56,29
37. Jaws 0:52,67 <- er..?
38. Curvaceous 0:28,75
39. Haircut 0:37,76
40. Double Trouble 1:23,45 <- must be the most boring one
41. Framework 0:38,63
42. Enduro 0:46,10
43. He He 0:56,46
44. Freefall 0:11,49 <- Freefall bounce not possible either
45. Sink 0:32,44
46. Bowling 0:52,61
47. Enigma 0:19,37 <- ...
48. Downhill 0:45,78 <- so Luther got it near to perfect
49. What the Heck 0:36,23
50. Expert System 0:52,17
51. Tricks Abound 0:41,73
52. Hang Tight 0:24,73
53. Hooked 0:17,20
54. Apple Harvest 1:21,12
Someone bothers to count the total time of the times?

Wouldn't it be good idea to publish the Leftalo patch after all this? therwise there is no sense to hoyl anymore.

I wonder what program that is. :)

edit: i was so excited I didn't read the part above the quote.

I can't believe there is such a program, wow. Also...does this prog use left alo?

edit2: i just read the news. I'm asthonished. I don't think I could give a clear opinion about this. One thing should be guaranteed, that is: don't spread. But I think you figured that out yourself.

Hm, I just compared the file sizes. 9 recs ready now. For example Tunnel Terror replay way smaller than current WR.

Btw, Mopolauta bugging for you?

I finally understand the meaning of this. Damn, this is sure interesting, and in the same way dissappointing (warm up f.x)

I am damn curious about tunnel terror and over and under btw. :?

Well, teamICE have a few secret styles in the making. under 55 tunnel terror wouldn't be that hard if it wasn't for one certain trick...
4th position in WC4 (DAMN YOU KARLIS!!!!) PWNED KARLIS IN WC5!!!!TT:39:2x:xx (you've got some playing to do Stini ;) ) When it's all over the question is not who was right. The question is who's left.

That 0.84 limit is a bit questionable. We can think more of it... For example many normal Lab Pro bounces are out of limits due to that value.

Milagros has a bounce check thingie, doesn'te he? Maybe you could add that value, if it is compatible with this program?

Enigma is already beated by stini, but wa his bouce to buggy?'

And hang tight is possible much faster, darm got 24.77 and it is to improve the hang part by 0,05 and the end, with a almost bugged bounce you can get like 24,5x.

Well, the bounces are very hard... as I said some normal (at least normal earlier) bounces seem to be bug ones now. Maybe Hang Tight is one of those levels.

if these times are all possible it's probably not the lowest. very interesting to see replays though. probably fm will see them.

questions:
use it vsync?
i dont think that a downhill rec can be as perfect as warm up. downhill is a very hard level, so the error there must be bigger.
and so on.

As for nat ruining and destroing ppl's dreams u should wait before uploading any recs. Many kuskis do believe they will make a WR one day!Still it would be sooo Cool to see those recs thoug it will take away all the mystecism of Elma. For all those who have hoyled till their eyes bled and there hands were nothing but raisins, nat funny when mr Russian spreads his prog :X

And for Karlor and Luth, quite max times u have :*
Abula, u should do this, Shatap about these kinda things ;S

most interesting thing I've read in a long time, seems reliable imo, the "loop-dilemma" was especially interesting though

Enigma btw ;DD, seems like Stini found a bug in teh system, didn't he? Or was it a bug in the level??

edit:
28. Bounce Back 0:50,02
I can beat that, without bug

Just realised one thing :/ This CandErz has been around for a while, I think. Some month ago someone uploaded a 2.11.xx rec of Lab Pro run on a polish site.
--> http://vk0.dk/vkprivupload/tfiaxkpe/35x21127.rec
Guess it was kinda same prog that made this rec :? Still it's some awsome piece of shit to watch!
I've been hoyling this quite much now. Nat fun though if it was "cheated/ created by a prog". Still I can't count on the luck needed for the start.

i dunno if abula will care or not but he just gave me a pm asking me to watch some of the crazier recs (those were the ones he 'generated' first) to confirm the times for him because he doesnt want to be deprived "entirely" of the mystery

so i watched 5: Laby pro, Over and Under, Fruit, Haircut, and Headbanger.

omfg to every rec but extra respect to haircut.

if u wanna get 37.xx u gotta have a LOT of patience with the killers...oh man its sooooo tight...lost for words
