quite horrible topic, I dont seem very happy... oh, I remember, I wasnt.
:D
that topic is just so beautiful, it speeks volumes of how fucking important elma once was for many of us. maybe still is today for some? it made me laugh and almost cry.

and omg maybe best lauta quote ever:
psy wrote:When I was in school wc2k was on, so I skipped classes to play more. Maybe that's why I ended up as a forklift kuski in a soap factory :P

Anyway, I dont regret it. Look, I was 2nd in final standings ok?

i remember there was something in moposite about Luther who took a week off in his job to beat somebody's wr in downhill. he played for a whole week and did it
amazing dedication and devition.. should be remembered and appreciated and admired, the elma scene wouldnt be still alive without such guys imo

I was cruising Upside down and kinda made accidentally a new hang style (dunno if it's actually old but anyway), it seemed like an ok style and i can't decide wheather it could have real potential if made cleanly: so, pro-men, is this worth hoyling

woah kiiwi!!!!
did some merging
first with John's 59,26. dif. between these 2 moments:
http://up.k10x.net/pjutlsdsthnnc/snap1.png
http://up.k10x.net/zqcawgaqpxezv/snap2.png
was exactly 8s (+- 0,02s) in both recs, but dif. between 5th and 6th apple was 5,29 in John's rec and in Kiiwi's 4,74s!
in Raven's 58,07 (different hang) though, the time between those 2 points is 6,9s (bigger error here, cuz dif. position in the first spot, nevertheless much faster), and the dif. between 5th and 6th apples is 4,63s, it seems like your style Kiiwi is faster than old wrstyle (normal hang) but slower than current wr style (?) :p
anyway nice lucky discovery (?) :P

yes, i thought after merging that it'd be at least faster then old hang. BUT, remember this was only 1st successful try with teh style and i can't say if it can be made faster??? Forst i thought of keeping this to myself and testing/hoyling, but i soon ditched the idea for the better of elma (and because i couldn't make any mega times with or without it anyway so it wouldn't matter if i, in my enthusiasm did give away new wr style xDDD)

apple times don't really say anything, you can easily take teh 1st apple 0.3s slower/faster just randomly with same fast run
also comparisons of this "time between apples" makes no sense for john vs. raven
the style may be slightly faster than old style but definitely slower than the new one

But it is easier to do after bounce, because the hang drop is quite impossible to do well with the other one.. In this one it is much easier to aim in the right spot even though it is not easy here either, at least it seems so.. :P

with this style in the end: http://up.k10x.net/cznoeeajyqpjn/train09likethis.rec

I wonder if end in double trouble can be done faster if you bounce and do 2wheel hang to flower instead of looping to it o,o

flower is too far, you die with head to wall
bounce can be done much faster ofc, but it's useless

you touch flower easiely with 2wheel hang, I have tested and it works=P

EDIT: also seems like I can do it faster that way than normal way, but I'm not a proper hoyler so might need more testing=)

EDITEDIT: I suck, forgot you touch flower from other side in fast styel:3
