World Cup 5 event 3 [A or B]

Post by Xiphias » 10 May 2005, 19:17

What do u think about the 3rd event?

I can see that many people are complaining about it.
Because u don't really know which event to chose A or B.
I clearly see the point of that.
U get a great time on A, but u chose to play B instead. Then u see the results on A and realise that u gotten a good score, many points.
But then u play B and only get less points, than those u'd have gotten from A.

And then u go this:  CRAZY!!

i dont see why there are 2 different levels.. O_o doesnt seem fair to me
<dream> itd be nice if there was 1 level, but versions A and B of it would have a tiny little polygon moved somewhere that wouldnt affect the ride. then you have to sign up for event A or B and that level gets -sent- to you, so no one gets an easier level than someone else </dream> or would this not work ? i think i just confused myself :?

I dont get why this event has to be layed out as 2 levz! Well, yes, to decrease the amount of time, teh WCup will take, but i guess Xiphias is right!

2 levels so more people can participate, 3rd event is kinda short and some might not have time to play on those couple of days

I don't understand yuo guys, if yuo get a great on A then why should yuo choose to sned in to B then?

This is not for shorting donw WC5 because eventhough this is 2 levels it is only 1 event

Ead, that is just more unnecisary, why do you have to choose between A and B when it is same level only?

And karlis this will not increase the amount of kuskis that will compete, just the amount that get points, maybe.

Damn, why making so much for everything... will there be so much shit for every single event 8O

AAAAHHH, event 2 is ugly.

AAAAHHH, why are there 2 levels in event 3, i can't decide which one i want to play...

C'mon guys, the thing is : It would have been bad to make an event which lenght 12 hours for some people ( like canadians and australians ) so they made two levels at two different hours so, if you can't play level A, play B...

And if you can play both, check out level A. If you make some crazy rec, send it. If you hate the level, wait for B...

Isn't too hard for me, i can play event A for 8-9 hours and level B for 2-3 hours so, i guess i'll play A !

What's with all this complaining, every time something new and innovative is introduced you piss in your pants? This 3rd event is lot more interesting than the regular ones. First of all it's divided into two parts because of the short playing time, now you can choose the event which fits better to your calender. The thing that makes this even more interesting is that you don't know which players are going to take part in which event, now you might complain it's unfair blablabla.. but even though this is wcup it doesn't have to be 100% serious ok, this is just a game anyway :)

"U get a great time on A, but u chose to play B instead"
-> ehh, if you get a great time in A then SEND IT IN and skip B, like few others here already said

" itd be nice if there was 1 level, but versions A and B of it would have a tiny little polygon moved somewhere that wouldnt affect the ride. then you have to sign up for event A or B and that level gets -sent- to you, so no one gets an easier level than someone else"
-> this doesn't make any sense. If the level would be "exactly" the same then the A event recs would get already spread before the event B even starts. The fact that the levels are different brings just extra excitement, I like it.

edit: didn't read your post BoneL until now, right attitude there!

Maybe the same level for event 3, A and B, but the apples are changed dramaticly. So spreading the recs before B event is nat possible. :)

Yeah so then you see the event B level way before the event starts?
Meaning you get 3 days extra to play it than you would otherwise.

I totally agree with MP and BoneLESS here. Play the one that fits you better.

Everybody chooses B because it's timing and it's later so it's better play A and get ez points=)

I think it's the opposite, most will choose A because it's first and they are eager to play. I don't think about the timing both suit for me

ez B
but ez points in A cause everyone will play B
or when they read this reply they will play A
but maybe they will think everyone who read this reply will play A so they will play B instead
or they won't read this reply and still play B
so people will better play A
but on the other hand, they can read this reply and think everyone will play A then and so they will play B for more points
but what if everyone thinks that will happen? ez play A. but I think they will play B. or A.

well, if you think about it, there is no way that the B level will be better than the A level, so why not take the chance when its right in your face?

before viewing both? that would be pretty a random level assigned to each one of us if we didn't know the type of the level (like a pipe) beforehand

I think that level B will be a veeeery long level, becouse some wanted a short level and some wanted a long level. So everyone was able to choose which one they wanted to take. Suffer you who didn't choose level A :)

No, actually I think that level B will be as short as A, maybe even shorter
