Rank these in order of importance

Post by sierra » 30 Sep 2005, 16:15

Below is a list of 'achievements' related to the elma scene. put them in order of how important they are, 1 being the highest, and 5 being the lowest

Getting a 39 minute total time
Winning 100 battles
Scoring 1M in #ranks
Coming in top ten of a World Cup event
Winning LOM
[OMG] | TT: 39:26,06 | 27 British Records |PIT

for me the are in this order

1) Getting a 39 minute total time
2) Winning 100 battles
3) Coming in top ten of a World Cup event
4) Winning LOM
5) coring 1M in #ranks

only ~40 players under 40 but there´s 5 worldcups and 5*10=50
not the best math but anyway...

1.Getting a 39 minute total time <- not that important

2.Coming in top ten of a World Cup event <- top 10 doesn´t matter.. if you don´t win an event you loose

3.Winning 100 battles <- nr of battles means nothing.. some are too easy to win

4.Winning LOM <- I bet this is a great feeling for levelmakers but most kuskis don´t even try this...

5.Scoring 1M in #ranks <- I don´t know what this is and I surely doubt it´s elmarelated

Of course they say. Winning KOM means people have certain image of you about something (usually) positive. Hopefully it reflects to your elma skills, but of course it can be other thing too. LOM as well means that you have created a best level where different elements are greatly combined. I don't understand how you can say these mean nothing.

I don't play internals so a WR there means this much to me: 0.01
As much as I can't judge how good WR actually is, you can't judge how motherfucking hard it is to win LOM 3 times in a row. Chill.

It isn't about how hard it is. It's about how important it is. Becoming world champion at speed-grape-eating might be really hard but nobody gives a fuck. Same with LOM - ok, so you made a level, wow, now go and play in a corner you fag. Making a WR is like yea.

disagree...

if some guy makes WR, i agree it's awesome but, when you make a LOM level and you win, you get the honor of winning and lots of people appreciate your level.

WR : Only makes you happy ( would make others if you share rec )
LOM : Makes you happy and everyone who plays your level...

Winning wc-event (top 10 is way too easy) also I never won, came 2nd as best... :(

Rest is just about beeing a good guy/girl and have fun and add to the community.

Ranks I dont know what that is.

Winning 100 battles means nothing, easy win cruisebattles in mid of night. Rather 1 great win than 100 (ammount means shit)

39 tt means not too much these days, getting a wr means more (and always meant more to me)

LOM has been dead for years? Dont think I ever took place.
