This idiot thought it was funny to fuck up the vk priv upload .. he's a russian elma player...

wtf is wrong with ppl?? seriously...

according to his words he didnt want to do any harm. He is noob in elma life and didnt know that vk is quite often used by many people. It was "interesting" for him to hack it. Dunno, i cant find any interest in defacing absolutely unprotected site.... mystery :S
He didnt changed any scripts and "sent a message to administration of the site" as he says, so it is easy to recover everything.
(Maby viperkillerguy will visit us in nearest 6 months and repair everything, so nothing to worry about :SSSS)

I think we shouldnt be too strict to him and dont bane for the first time. He made a stupid mistake and asked to forgive him. He cant change everything back, but he did everything that can help to recover the upload page.....

a defacement is quite harmless
... if you make a backup of the file you are overwriting (he didn't),
if you don't go about defacing other parts of the server which aren't related to the vulnerable script, he did.
And if you don't install 5 different scripts ranging from shell servers to irc clients... which he did, one of which connected to a known hacking irc server, which i can only assume was to add my server to some botnet.
And i havent seen any mail sent to any valid user.

I won't put any such upload avaliable again untill i get a more secure server set up.

Same with nobbs that cheat times/records in elma.. they dont know ppl take it so seriously. thats a reason not to punish them?

This won't happen because the entire Russian scene is quietly laughing at us. They admire him, just as Islamists silently praise suicide bombers on the West Bank. And what do we do about it? We appease these terrorists with their own forum on our most beloved site.

How many more facets of our Elma scene have to perish before we officially condemn the Russian elma scene and all its supporters??

And when whoever defaces it again please try to simply _add_ some deface message instead of completely overwriting the files.

And please don't leave the link visible on some public website or other media.
