Route, Style, Trick

I am writing this because everyone (sometimes even myself) seems to be using 'style' for all three of these words, even though they mean completely different things:

Route: The path you take to complete the level
Style: How you drive that path. There are also "driving styles", which is how you're dealing with the basic controls, like brake handling, turns etc.
Trick: Certain (usually hard) moves that are parts of a style. (A style is not only made up of tricks)

What are your definitions of Route, Style and Trick?

I never us the word route, and I don't hear many that do. Even though it might be better way to descripe but whatever.

I think instead I tend to use:

Main style The path you take to complete the level. However often just refering to as style.
Style How you drive that path.
Tricks The small tricks you do to make the style, like bouncing in lap pro to make short cut (main)style

But I can follow you that it would be more understandable to use route for the first one. It just sounds wrong in my head for some reason.

i more often hear ppl use "route" than "main style", but its still rare very seldom there is levels with several different routes that are equally fast.
