Elma Done (fairly) Quick v2 help needed

Post by skint0r »

Yay woho. So, it's been ~9 months since the first version was released (here), so I figured it's time to at least plan a new one. There have been a lot of new public replays posted, and both the total time of those together with the world records has decreased drastically, specially considering the decline of activity in the scene.

And, I need some help. Instead of keeping it as some semi secret stealth production, I figured I could post about it here. I basically got the urge to do a new version like... 5 minutes ago, so I haven't really planned anything or tried to get a hold of any replays yet. This is where you come in.

Know about any public replays that are better than the ones on the old list? Then tell me, but please, post a link to the rec as well if you're first gonna bother doing it. Have a better replay than those already shared, don't want to share it, but wouldn't mind having it in the video? Message me on IRC or in a pm.

NEW v2 list, updated as I get new replays:

Code: Select all

1. Warm Up 14,00 Zweq

Thanks for filling in some blanks, had just updated when you posted that so had most of them already. Those recs with no names aren't any good until I know who drove them, but I'll hold on to them.

36:44,28 now, would have been nice to get it down to some 36.3x at least. John could share his apple harvest and Zweq his downhill, thanks in advance ;D.

axxu's replays are not public, and Tm posted to me in IRC so I don't know if he wants it public or not.

can you also release a replay bundle with the video. unless people specifically dont want the replay released.. just put in the video (cant see why really) :/ i have seen most of those public ones but either lost the recs, or theyre on my old pc so would be najs if you released all possible in a .zip along with the video

Well publishing a replay on video or the file itself differs slightly. Recmerging tends to be a little harder when you don't have the actual replay.

Now that I finally got my computer up and running again, I figured it's time to finish this thing up. Being somewhat away 3 months, I'm not sure if there's been a lot of new replays shared or not, though it doesn't seem like it from the replay sharing topic. I updated the list with a few recs at least. This is sort of the last call, so please, if you know about any public recs that are missing, do share them. And in case any WR holders are reading this, please considering sharing a replay or two to make the totaltime of this video better, as well as more entertaining.

skint, I think the music last time was fairly ok, but this time you could make it a bit more differential, so that it's not awfully bad to those true-music haters, and only a bit more broad for us music lovers.

And well, ofcourse I'm still looking forward to v2.

I think there´s two faster times in public:

31. Animal Farm: Xiphias 1:15,42

Can´t find the link, maybe someone else got it??

and

45. Sink: Zweq 32,53

I guess there will still be a week or two more for getting new recs, as through an act of randomness earlier today the project has been upgraded so to speak, by creating a dvd version with several audio tracks, along with an überleet semi-possibility of Luther creating a commentary track as well. Might add some extras with old/alternative wr styles and random outtakes as well to it. There will of course be a normal avi download like before though.
