been playing since spring 2001, probably longest time without elma was 2 weeks maximum... even less if I think about it, in my last vacation I opened my laptop and played like 5-10 minutes once...

I played Elma actively back in 2002 (mostly level making - I got like 30 Level of Month-points back in the days - and playing external levels) and started playing it again this summer pretty much for fun (only my own levels). I'm making en Elma movie (or actually just a flick with my best replays thrown together) and it's already ready, need to render it from Vegas and upload to Tube. I made the movie, 'cause I was... bored

So, I had a 6 and a half year break.

Longest time is about a month. It was between august and september last year when moved away from home leaving the stationary behind (it wasn't mine). Took me a month before got laptop. This compless time cost me my membership at a great torrentsite, luckily they opened up the registration this summer again

seeing as how my computer broke down after 7,5 years of loyal service, i'm now gonna buy a new computer, which will leave me without elma for some time i guess, since im not just gonna buy some random brand-computer.
And i lost my elma anyway since i had to re-install windows on my comp, but since it didnt work for some fucked up reason my computer is now stuck in some loop where it tries to install windows everytime you start it, and when it realizes some file is missing, it reboots, and jumps straight back into that loop. And yeh, to re-install windows i had to format, so elma is gone

anyway, i dont know quite how long it will take to make a new scomputer, but im guessing maybe a week and a half to find all the parts.
but since i've spent months without elma this will be far from my longest time. so why am i writing this bango? dunno.

because you're an attention whore. But aren't we all? Too bad, damn, computer failure always sucks ass. You could give it a shot for recovering with some linux install, ubuntu or anything better? I recommends trying at least, those format tools are way more rigid than winxp crap. You could always try reinstalling windows after that.

well, still gonna buy a new computer since the old one broke down for no reason and thus is not reliable anymore. And since i formated my harddrive i see like no reason whatsoever of reviving it. I guess i could call one of my dads friends who does know alot about computers, and maybe ask him for advice, but i really think the comp just got too old. i mean it didn't give me any clue whatsoever as to what went wrong, it just broke down. and since i now have a reason to buy a new comp, im gonna do it. the only reason i didnt buy one before was because it could handle elma well, and elma was like my main game. but it will be nice to be able to play newer games like left4dead and sach. dunno if it requires more than hl2 , which ran pretty well on my old comp, though.

ah well, if i manage to make a nice computer im hoping for it to last at least 10 years.
