Mmmh, I've been playing Elma since it was released or so, but I wasn't into the community until way years latter... anyway I remember old happenings like Darmoed cheating, alovolt being finally binded to a key so everyone could use it easily....

Thank you, undi! Had nice time reading that story! That reminded me of those cool times, when i was drooling to the moporecs and wondering about still undone styles that cant remember even myself. One of those styles was ramp brutal, with exception that would've bounced. I know many of people has same kind of first moments with elma, like I had over seven years later than you!

But the level quality was mcuh better, levels by people like zebra, ville_j, you (undi), olliz and couple others were the levels i liked to play before serious höylings! Also i remember the levelname sasha but cant imagine the levels themselves. Also moposites levelpacks were max fun. BaXXXX levels were too hard as far as i can remember.

Awesome story! I remember when I played across and elma 1.0 but I was just some 7-9years old so I was "too young" for joining community:P I had no idea how large and energetic it was... Now some time ago just discovered the greatness of the game once again.

i was actually having good expectations due to those "AWSOM STOYR!" comments. no, it was not awesome nor even a story. But a nice easy to read overview of old times and should help the crew to understand the spirit of early elma times. I especially liked the IRC part and the fact that nobody cared about the level quality as long as you could cruise it, so thumbs up anyways

Nice little story Undiente! Did remind me of the MOX levels which were the summum of coolness when i was starting to play elma. Sickest levels in my elma youth were probably these levelpacks:

- MOX levels
- The Smile of ElastoMania pipe levelpack
- GBG levels
- Any level made by Bartek (LOM levels + Snus level + Adventure level + SmachCup Event 11) <-- SmashCup... shit, that was a good one!
- Any level made by VilleJ
- Any level made by Olliz

Lots of others but i can't remember right now.

I remember when I entered this forum, that one topic was about which killers were harder to pass: Over and under, Quick round and another dipshit level. Lauta was crowded back then. I remember some pityful topic about ramone complaining he had no life and wanted to quit; mopogirl cried.

Chris penhorse was so funny. Karlis dammit, doing fancypants with his ircphone omg!1, luther having a fulltime ircchat job, ircstats in general, Flat Tracker, passing 1000 posts in lauta, passing kyjelly (haha pwned), FEM madness, my own meetings; seeing ribot in real life twice, höyling skintatious like hell, spending newyear behind the computer, the first silly one life/first finish levels in belma, amle (orcc pwning), t0r getting under 40 what the heck, king cup awesomeness, mopokuskis (sigh), kimitys and karlis making out (was that real ;o), milagros posting pics of gfs, dmd cheating (5 years ago?!), irc being cool..

a whole lot of cunt memories.

We must remember the greatest levelmakers, clearly for the inventiveness and level of fun in their levels.

I really wish we could've seen more from Fuida and Olliz in particular, their levels were extremely fun to play, even to this day they simply trump the pants of any other levelmaker. And needless to say BarTek's amazing levels were also incredible.

I must mention Skint0r here because his Skint001 was the first external level I'd played that was not of my origin nor a Tutorial Level.

Also, we can remember certain kuski's for their amazing skills in certain areas; the legends if you will...

Markku - Battles
Zweq - All-Rounder

These guys, especially the enigmatic presences of Crazy and Jalli in their specialities deserve to be some of the most admired of the entire spectrum.

As you all know, on the 4th the anniversary takes place. However our project will not be finished by that date. We have much more work that needs to be done and me, Uncle Milty and Zebra (maybe pawq too?) have to do all the reasearch on our own because the other people quit. It will be done of course, but it will be delayed.

It's also been a Norwegian elmameet in 2004. Me (Cfilorvy), Cubein, Jalli, ToTaL and Thanatos met in Sandnes.

Right now the actual Cup in Hungary is a Chainlev, which was made for the 10th birthday of the Elastomania. 30 Hungarian builder worked on the lev. Map
