Well, it should kinda be Jon that made this topic but anyways.

Did you like Bbot in belma, or what did you like?

Great bot. Would be nice if it only added battles when there is nothing on queue but Jon said that'd be impsy. I'll trust him on that and hope that players will learn to use the bot with care and love. :D
then again i don't know anything
maybe easier not to think abouut alöl things thought than not things thought ... or something..=?

bbot is jon's bot on belma, it can answer to functions asked, like: (not sure exact words, but the idea is there)
<Mawane>/time
<bbot>The time (GTM+1) is 21:45.

<Mawane>/ruh
<bbot>Battle started!
<Mawane>/piep
<bbot>Piep started!
<Mawane>/ruh
<bbot>ruh started!

<Mawane>/calc 1+1
<bbot>1+1=2

<Mawane>/wr 22
<bbot>38,73 by Raven

<Mawane>/joke
<bbot>How many Berhs does it take to screw in a light bulb?
<bbot>Impossible. He uses "free rotate" and breaks the whole lamp.

Those are week old functions, might be more added since.
/time, /info, /terminate, /calc, /joke, /wr, /ruh, /piep, /balle, /walrus, /zumba, /mawrap

That's pretty much what i fear about the bot, will ppl lose their initiative, will /balle make it so ez that noone won't see the effort to make real balles?....if not, then wth, let it be, it's nice to have few rand0m flattrackers when there's balles nowhere to be seen :D.....And plz take off the /calc and /wr functions, some ppl are bound to spam with them!

keep the /wr in there forsure. that function sounds awesome. Ya I think I have played a level generated by this bot a few times. They are pretty horrible levels but better then no balle's at all. Thanks for this bot Jon and keep up the good work.

I think the bot is awesome. But I agree that something should be done so that the auto generated levs will only come if there are no other alternatives, and it should not give less motivation for designers.

it would be best to find a balance.

I never got the part how the bbot pick up levels via the level generator(?) Can you tell me about all that?

Anda about the fun functions: Well they may be funny in the start, but i guess it will be boring pretty fast. And people will always use it as spam. So i guess we should take related issues with the bbot only.

And we should make some agreements in this topic on how the bbot should act like, so people dont misuse it.

Another question: Your computer is working as the server for this bot, isn't that correct?

the bot makes levs itself, then starts them and uploads them to the ftp server, if thats wat u meant
ive already removed the fun funcitons, because obviusly ppl spamed them liek fakk.
and ye im using my pc as server

i have a suggestion, ill make the bot wait 10 min after last balle, and if it still isnt anything on, it enables /balle and all that stuff, but i need to know if you ppl like that idea
and also, what commands shoud be availabel? (i think only /wr woud be best)

/time maximum 5 times per minute
/info maximum 2 times per minute
/terminate lol, only pro can use it :D
/calc maximum 5 times per minute
/joke maximum 5 times per minute
/wr maximum 5 times per minute
/ruh 10min after previous balle if nothing in queue, then can be row of generated levs if people asking (good for night)
/piep same
/balle same
/walrus anytime
/zumba anytime
/mawrap anytime

I like mawanes idea. But remember the whole point with bbot is that its possible to make a battle automatic. But the other commands that is usuable, like /wr and /time, that could be spammed, ill say 2 times a minutte per command.

I don't understand the debate here. There will always be spammers so limiting their use of the bot will only make them resort to another variation of spamming (such as countless amounts of ) )) )( 9)00) 9)(0 () ).

I don't believe in limiting such a tool.

The players that spam through the bot are players who wouldn't spam otherwise. It's way too cool of a toy for some to handle :D

i'm sorry but i'm not a fan of this bot.

well, it's not the bot itself i have a problem with, it's the people who are overusing it.

the last 30 balles i've play have been from this bot, one after the other by spammers. i think it's fair to say that they aren't the best levels.

people don't seem to want to make balle levs anymore when there is such a bot.

That has nothing to do with this bot. When the bot is terminated, there is lack of battles aswell.

Perhaps we should only have the functions where the bot make battles, no trivia functions.

having the bot no doubt lowers the amount of people willing to make a balle lev.

personally i think this bot should only run at certain times of the day (when there aren't many on), and can only start a balle every 20mins.

If people don't wana make levels then they don't, I think just let the bot run. Is no good thing to "force" people to make shitty levels either.

any bad level made manually is better than these, tho. You need averagely 10 secs to make bbot level.
