IRC server? Belma server?

Post by Timwi »

Hi, what’s a good IRC server to connect to where I can join #across and/or #battle?

Also, what’s the newest belma server IP?

Thanks!

OK, thanks. But how do I connect to IRCnet? ircnet.com has a long list of servers, none of which works! What server(s) do you guys use for IRCnet?

OK, many thanks. Last question: How do I find out the Belma server IP next time it changes? I thought it was in the IRC channel’s topic, but it isn’t.

Ask in #ballelma.

You probably should use an IRCnet server located at a university "close" to where you live.

If you tell us which country you're from it will be much easier to help you find an IRCnet server.

There are dozens of clients. Supposing you use mIRC. You'll probably have to downgrade to 7.1 and delete some shit from registry.

I bought for $10 or watefak. Have been using it almost daily for 10 something years and has always worked, so figured why not?

It's not much money compared to other crap out there people mindlessly spend their money on.

you don't HAVE to pay after evaluation ends. if you wait long enough, the continue button will appear. i'm on trial for 3 years lol.

Yes i remember that being the case with the older mirc versions too that i had long ago, but with newer (newest) the continue button never appears. I never got past that point since some months ago and hence stopped coming to irc lol. I know its terribly lazy but i just orka after trying some different methods for getting on but never worked teh

Go to regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> MIRC -> LastRun

Right-click that LastRun folder and choose user rights, then block full rights and reading rights. You hev to do that to all the users in that box (upper part of teh).
