Pah. I got a total of 32.xx in 3 minutes. The bike moves 1.6x faster and the wheels have an average spin rate of 200 Megaspins/s.

Seriously though, it has no effect at all (on elma). Obviously.

Great, now I'm just looking forward to a new release of 3DMark - I am pretty sure they've said it would be released after DirectX 9 hit the streets. :)

problem solved, everything good now.
heres how it went; first i updated new nvidia dets 43,45
then i upgraded dx9.0 to dx9.0a and elma was extremely laggy, while as other games worked perfectly fine. then i deleted all nvid det files with nfr (nasty file remover from guru3d.com) and reinstalled 43.45, after that everything was smooth again. amen.

Yes the lastest Direct X makes elma very 'smooth' to play.

anyways no problems with laging ever =))

Actually it would be pretty good to hear more experience about the how-to-make-elma-less-laggy-under-windowsXP -issue, so if you have recently updated to directx 9/9a, please share your experiences, if there are any worth sharing.

I didn't see that much of a difference updating from 9 to 9a, but I can't say for sure because it's been a while since I did it. :?

of course everyone is already using 9.0b but still laggy, so we just have to use open-quicktime-player-and-play-smoother-elma trick in xp or install good old win98 to get the smoothest höyling sessions

ohh yeah, 9.0b was released also. Actually if you're wondering it's impossible to get 99% smooth elma under winXP, your wrong, I'll encourage you, mine is 99% smooth.

The final "thing" that made it extremely smooth was to set my monitor have maximum refresh rate in the resolution mode elma uses, which is 640x480x16 I think. I have 144hz. Remember that the default setting is 60hz..

I use dx9.0, and my elma (1024x768x80hz) is really smooth, no difference to my win98 comp elma. And u can believe me, i can be really angry when elma lags even only a bit, while nobody else recognize it.
