try FPTST01.lev, just fall and see how many apples you get. I duno game mechanics much but should be connected to your FPS. Maybe with high FPS you don't even get apples? Can only test low FPS on laptop but i got these results from some quick tests:
30fps: 71,11,0,7,71,87,19,34,56,41,26,41
36fps: 25,75,25,75,71,45,33,25,83,0,25
38fps: 70,36,28,28,25,40,10,21,71,10,18,10
max fps: 7,53,45,83,60,0,45,53,68,30,76,22,83
Seems to be some clear pattern, numbers that come again on same FPS and not on others etc. I do more extensive testing later maybe.
Possible in game FPS test method?

You can use mudfps.lev to determine your fps for low fps.
Simply drive right at the start and note your max speed when you die.
Refer to this chart:

Re: Possible in game FPS test method?
well that doesn't seem consistent at all.
From quick testing 30 vs 31 FPS I got values between:
30: 24.32-25.11
31: 24.33-25.37
And didn't really seem to be repeating values like in my lev. Though I just tested my lev in 30vs31 too and got many of the same values in both. Have to get a pretty big sample i guess to check if there's a reliable way to detect the difference just from apples taken, and then see if it works on others' computers too.

Re: Possible in game FPS test method?
Yes it's approximate but you can differentiate between "very different" fpses e.g. 30 vs 60 etc
