Well the situation now is that it seems that pretty many people have objections to this and some would even boycott the whole FEM. So I think you will have to wait for someone to arrange international elma meeting somewhere.

EDIT: Because everyone do not know about the situation I should clarify things related to this:

Abruzzi is berh (berhabdul) who used to terrorize belma / EOL / mopolauta over a course of several years by hacking, cheating, trolling and bullying people. Despite he has not done that for few years he still has pretty bad reputation with many people.

Omg, that's sad. Obviously I don't want any superzweq to boycott the meeting. Everyone had ups and downs, thought that might be the best time to say sorry, and for you to forgive for good. I'm involved for 15 years and love the game and the scene what likes of Mielz or jblaze can confirm, I guess, as we shared it during meetings. I thought as the community is really extraordinary, being like a family, there can't be place for such grudges held for forever. I can only appeal to those who object - to follow the openness guidelines set by Abula and to put the game above any hatred.
Well the situation now is that it seems that pretty many people have objections to this and some would even boycott the whole FEM.
What the shit is this?! Who are these people? Why can they affect FEM? Who would even WANT to stop fem and why?

Logically this previously unknown band of, presumably some idiotic satan worshippercultists, who want to have their STUPID LARP-night, cuz of the alignement of stellar objects, and their sad, paid fakevirgin, who gets killed and stuffed to a swamp and never found, is either just that... Or not
I hope it's that one. Because the far more probable answer is FAR more threatening... At least with cultists you can always apply force if some ridicule and a firm "gtfo" doesn't cut it.

It's some soulless, dried up vulture accountant/bureoucrat/lawyer and some unforeseen faction of fun and lifehating xenophobes on the VIRRI-tila. This is very bad. These people are born out of opposition. Opposition to the JOY, HAPPINESS, UNITY, SPONTANEITY, CAMARADERY, WARMTH AND LAUGHTER AND OPENNESS that is THE FEM-meet (which has come to stand for much more than it's original acronym suggests). They can't stand it. They hate it! People enjoying and having harmless fun? sports? Quizzes? No. No can do. Their life is horrible, so so must everyone else's be too. And that's the angle.

Nom said boycott, and i guess that's not a mistake, since it suggests there's money or some other influence that, can at least make FEM difficult, sensored and very much formal, if not actually stop us from getting the estate to use.

And as i don't see ANYONE, be it treehuggers, satanic-sex-murder-cultists from somewhere scary, or a goddamn convention of convicted neo-white supremacists out to hash it out with booze and daggers being able to stop us kuskis united and from having our week, then it must be that the former is correct..... The axis of evil. Money and petty little people, who don't like noise, or people who are different from themselves.

This is sad. And threatens the SOVEREIGNTY of the elma community. this obviously requires measures. What measures? .... Well there's where the whole speech kind of grinds to a halt, scratches it's head confusedly and tries to decide where to take it's pitchfork and just, noble rage. Maybe for a pint, cuz i sure as hell don't have any means to offer when it comes to bitter old finnish people and their misdirected selfhate and money. Hopefully NOM has the tools, or something. All I got is drunken siege mentality and a rallying speech xD. Revolt!!! TO ARMS!

FEM FOREVER!!!

And. yes. I might've had a drink or twentyeight before i wrote this. Hope you're fired up.

I honestly do believe that berh is a nice guy to meet IRL, that's what I've heard from everyone who's ever met him, and I personally wouldn't have any problems with having him in FEM. I kinda do understand the argument that he's been given a million chances and he's betrayed the trust miserably every time, so there has to be a point where enough is enough. Would be cool to discuss those things face-to-face though.

Let's judge people by the present and not the past. Let the guy come and if he turns out to still be an ass, kick him out.

Also, I'm kind of joking here, but wouldn't it be a contradiction not to accept the man in the same building where an "I love berh" shirt was worn? :D

You probably don't know the entire story then. The wearing of that shirt as the results of a lost bet and simply the worst possible punishment I could think of.

It was discussed in discord, when he says boycott he doesn't mean that anyone has any sort of extra power or monetary influence, merely that certain people would not attend then.

Sure there will always be people you like more or less when you collect a group of people and you should be able to disregard that to make a meeting enjoyable. But also you can't just say what you do online have no consequenses. I realise it can seem arbitary to some people, especially if you haven't been around so long or been involved in certain things. But eventhough its been a while, it's was just so much, over so many years and after so many second chances, that for some of us we're way beyond ever wanting to socialise with such a person. To be frank the only reason he's around here, is that it's impossible to effectively ban someone.

I don't want to spread hatress, and not planning to attend for other reasons, so this is not an argument for either or, but mostly I wanted to make clear this is a very special case and that absolutely no one else should be afraid of the same treatment.

I don't know this berh thing (lucky me) but I do understand you. ribot was an early day troublemaker and I didn't want to see him, period. It's an insult for people who have worked their ass off and then some idiots just make it harder. But such is life. Ban and forgive. After making the article I think ribot is good, but it took 10y+ for me. Has berh done any good for the community? If not, it's probably about time to?

Well I do not in turn know much about early date ribot but my understanding is that he was just difficult to you by being a smartass. Berh did some seriously evil, even psychopathic, stuff.

This situation is very problematic. Let's assume that nowdays berh truly is a really nice guy who wants to contribute positively and his behaviour was "just" a very weird way of expressing love. In that case it might be nice to have him there in an idealistic world, but in reality there would be no way to avoid him ruining the happy elma feeling and atmosphere for many people due to his past. This was so easy before heh, now it is not possible to avoid clashes between people with different opinions.

I do not know about his contributions so far, he has made battles sometimes I guess, but at least in the Polish scene he seems to be very liked.

Hey guys, thanks for responding to my appeal and doing it in such an exhaustive way. Now I can understand in what way it is hard to have me there.

Yes. Indeed i suspected i was going to be wrong and decided NOT to dig deeper and just went with a totally random scenario i had in my head, i just went ahead and had a laugh and got to share a few opinions on FEM on my behalf . Be it in a roundabout way :). The point was to entertain myself on the small hours when got stuck reading active topics, and anyone who would happen to give it a sideways smile. Even if it is for the writers obvious state. Sry for any accidental political standings.

Childish? Certainly

I think all has been said already. I just thought I'd add this thing I just stumbled upon under a very sensible and informative post from Kopaka (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8570#p217771). It's from 2012, so not that old.

For ppl who dont know:

Berh/abruzzi hacked belma (online elma before EOL) over and over and over.

He did this for years every day, he played with freevolt, head trough ground, and so on, he could hack any result for himself too, like wintimes 00:00 00:01 or just 0.0x better thsn leader. Making all battling 100 fucked up, ruining winrecs and so on. Ruining every FF battle. And this was Not a few times here and there, it was every fucking day for hours, obv ppl left Belma when he was around, he was also extremely rude to everyone. He was banned many many times but always came back with new nicks/ip due to his hacking skills. He crashed server over and over with hacks so we couldnt play at all.

And like Kopaka said, getting so many second chances but always back to old habits. It cant be compared with ribot stuff at all!

Because of berh/abruzzi belma became more or less impossible to use.

When WC6 started, in EOL and we had been blessed with a while without his harrasments he hacked EOL server during first event and told ppls times in public.

The thing us, he did not just have a bad attitude or beeing rude. He fucked up our lovely scene with hacks for YEARS!

Being in Fem with him there would 100% ruin it. Same as inviting your serial cheating ex to your wedding. Maybe she isnt cheating now but who fucking gives two fucks!?!

Oh yeah, over and over berh stated that we should be thankful for his behaviour cause ge was kind enough to make us realize the flaws in belma, oh pls, fuck off!

Very write-up, Ram1

I forgot those things, but now I remember clearly, that it was actually pretty terrible experience to open Belma/EOL and know, that if berh's there, you're gonna have a bad time. I know it might seem like an old insignificant injustice to newer people, but it really made kuskis (including me) not wanting to open Belma/EOL or quiting instantly, when a cheater was there (I know there were other cases of cheating, not just berhabdul).

I wanna mention, I would be oke with meeting you, berh, if something like POL/CZE/SVK meeting will happen. But on the other hand I am kinda glad people do not forget. And I totally see why they would not attend FEM, if you were there.

edit: just a lil link about berh stuff, if someone wants to spy it: berh topic

Yes, thanks for the information. And sorry about comparing to ribot. EML and Nostrada got lifetime bans because they cheated again. berh abused power like a tyrant. He just needs to earn the respect which may take long but such is life. I think many black hat hackers have become white when older.

There are some old wcup total points incomplete for teams and nats ;). And Across WR stats missing.

Update: read a bit more (http://elmaonline.net/news/30). berh must have had a hard childhood etc. but that's not an excuse. Other ppl have had difficult times too, maybe worse, maybe not. He was a weak human being and made his revenge againts the innocent Elma ppl. I don't see berh here either: http://elmaonline.net/help/donate
