Not that much statistics.

Just change it in the options. Or do you change the driving mode during the run? First 35 secs with too hands and then the rest with one hand.

alovolt

Post by spAcEMaN »

would it be possible to do a reverse alovolt? having counter clockwise and clockwise? i think that it makes sense to be able to do it both ways.

Hmmm... Are there any big new features in 1.2 that are not in 1.1?
I'm a little confused about it.

Well, you can have different resolutions, but that's just a tiny detail and it's easy to miss... :roll:

betapatch -> official 1.2 version ....includes reverse alovolt and online mode ! ? Well, reverse alovolt would renew the wr-lists right away. I think by then,we need new internal levels and new wr-list for those levels with reverse alovolt allowed,and old wr-table shouldn't be touched with reverse alovolt.

onla, unfortunately i haven't worked on the netplay since you last saw me. It kinda bores me now. The last version works well, but there is some work "around" it (menus, replay merging, "synchronizing" the apples and flower events). So forget it for some time. I'll see if i have time to finnish it later.

About the 1.2 final release, i thought it would be the beta version + intro pic only :? Then there would be "1.11a anti-cheat", "1.2 anti-cheat" and maybe "1.11a alovolt & anti-cheat". And later, some other patches like netplay, windowed mode, battle mode, etc. (by other patchers)
Do you really want new features in the final 1.2 version? I can make a little effort maybe, but make your requests quickly (i have exams and projects soon) and don't make me lose my time with things you'll never use.

my requests;

*elma windowed; if it works. i would love to play elma max size windowed mode where i can easily change between windowses (f.ex winamp, irc) that would be reallllly something.

*actually, i don't remember anything else right now but of course,
if the network play can be done somewhat good, that would be very likely to be taken with warm hands by most of us.

edit:

* in-game LGR change, that would roxor.

This idea popped to my mind when i was playing a pipe-level.

Most pipe-levels are impossible to finish, so you will never get a top-10 time. So what if the top-10 list shows how much apples you've taken? And if you do managed to finish a pipe-lev, the time will be on top.

example:

01:04:66
01:15:89
17 Apples
12 Apples

If you finished making a pipe-lev and want to publish it, there must be an option in the lev-editor to choose whether it is a normal level or a pipe-lev.

This might be stupid, but why can´t there be a total counter in the game??....It´s not hard to check the stats.txt but i would like to check it in the game =)....Another stupid feuture is that you can put in the World Records and the team records and the country records in the game so when you´ve made a team rec it says like "Best time and team record"...and so on...maybe it´s stupid, but hey it was my idea :) :)....it would be really cool for those who brake WR if it stood "World Record" on the screen, or? =)

Okay, let's sum it up to avoid confusion and misunderstandings.

The Elma 1.2 seem to have, if I'm not misunderstood myself, four new install objects. Let's see what they are and what they do.

----------------------------------------------------
#1. -> Elma12.sfx.exe
#2. -> ResEdit.sfx.exe
#3. -> DefaultLGR.sfx.exe
#4. -> Lev2Leb.sfx.exe
----------------------------------------------------

#1 - Main "Elma 1.2". *required*.
#2 - It seem to update elma.res, but what else can be done with it? *required*
#3 - I don't know/remember.. *NOT required*
#4 - I don't know/remember.. *NOT required*

Let's sum it up now, what are the possibilities of these 4 files? Actually 3 because #1 is obvious.

2) Edits elma.res to support different resolutions
3) ???????? Never heard of... are you sure?
4) Used to convert levels so you can replace the internals with them. (Not sure, I have never tried this)

#2: Changes files packed to elma.res, you can add new files, change files or remove files
#3: never heard of
#4: Converts externals (.lev) to internals (.leb) and vice versa, the .leb-s you can add to elma using resedit

hmm, #3 had only Default.lgr, which though isn't the same as the original Default.lgr. this size's 965kb while original is 743. I wonder what's the difference in these.

Maybe it has something to do when it comes to resolution? I don't have the file myself, so I can't check.

I checked it out.

The new Default.lgr has a new hi-res sky and no pictures...

Post by The One »

an idea 4 an lgr
if someone could combine the bikes of the style.lgr and the good background and no pics of the highq.lgr, that would be an absolutely awesome lgr.
