I tried playing on my LAN, and it actually worked!

Wel... In single player mode, tghe slave computer could watch along with the master computer. In multiplayer mode the slave computer could again watch along with the masters movements, but couldn't move itself.

Only very slowly and almost unnoticable movements could be made by the slave computer.

What seems to be the problem here?

Good luck tweaking this fun multiplayer patch!

RedRob: did you try it on Warm Up? :)
(Because there you start sliding very slowly. )
Did you try to control the slave guy with the second player config?

KD, those wre exactly the right questions!

I did try it on warmup, and i didn't use the 2nd player keys on the slave computer!

When I did use those keys, multiplayering worked flawlesly!

I'm impressed! And also with the job the multiplayer guys did!

ok, i decided to increase 'ping escape' to double, some guys wanted that
also i'll do that fullscreen key behave different for both computers..
i've heard there is also some flagtag bug where different player can have the flag at start onboth comps.. dunno if i'll have time to search for it

mila: nice job, it's much smoother than before!
Looks like alovolt makes it freeze for some seconds.

only for master if i know correctly

and in flag tag if master has flag, everything is ok, bat when slave has flag, both times are running...

mila: strange, but we found it working smoother :D
There are some problems with flag tag yea, but what is with that alo thing?
I can't even see as the other guy supervolts, it just freezes and skips.
And sometimes there are problems with the flags, i mean we both see the flag on our bike :)

i know about flag tag bug but my patch really doesn't do anything with alovolt at all, its simply sent as both volts together and i don't even detect it
anybody else had that problem?

I tested some EOL with mr, we used Skype to communicate.

So what's the current situation? Some bug / todo lists somewhere?

currently i don't know about any bug
i think there is no problem with playing, window mode is better for communication
to do .. hm, maybe in that external program which sets ip/port I should do some last-connected list with saved ip/ports..
and maybe i can remake connection for master - use 'select' instead of the way it is done now, so it will be possible to set some 5 secs timeout and elma won't freeze if noone connects
I don't know about anything else to do

that'd be incredible, I see another minute limit break possible in multi especially if someone does ramp 40

i dont want to set any date or smth, i jus3t dont want to spend too much time on in so patching would become annoying so that i would need another half year break
