I guess the problem was with regular expressions in mysql, this ip was never banned or smth, try now
Sla wrote:Olliz: "nazi ops"
believe me, it's not coincidence iguana's level didn't work (and twice)
i banned all ip he used to connect from (including yours), blaim him
i have really no idea which comps are yours and which are not
one of the comp is not banned though (201.21*)
ban for pab was prolly bug in regular expressions, he should not be banned now at all

ok thx for answer without insults :P
i will explain this later. i will take pics of my 2 comps...and i will write the ips of each one. i imagine the ip not banned is iguana's home comp.

It's not a bug, but:

Suddenly I got the "need" for the esc alias, so tried teh for the first time. But I wonder, why does it only work for escaping out of a level, and not for escaping out of menus?
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

my guess is that hib spent some time to make it work this way, would be much easier with same behaviour

I use escapealias cause space+esc tabs out to windows and if you must press space at the beginning of a lev and you fuck up the start and press esc to fast you tab out..
But in which situation do you need escapealias in menu?

If the esc button is covered with something and you'd rather not bother to remove whatever is covering it :P
So it's not a big problem really, actually it is a very minuscule one.

Ok, I didn't realize this was hib's work. No idea why he'd deliberitely make it that way though..

I complained about this earlier too but I noticed it again now when I tried to play at my parents house: the tcp connection sux and it's impossible to play first finish battles because it always says 'connection failed' or something when I finish a long ride. A normal battle can be played though if some f12 is pressed once in a while. I hope the new version with http connection will fix it.

I'm just wondering,

mila, when will the http version be out you have so much advertised?

skint0r, is there any hope getting the http://b.attle.info/ and original balleserver working ever again and if there is, when it might be? I guess you have tried to contact the isp, have they replied anything?
I think that if that site (http://b.attle.info/) will be nominated in GAA07, would be good to know will it be up ever again.

zworqy, you are running the temporary server. How about some statistics? Is it possible to get the mysql running? Or would it be needless if we get the original server back up some time and then those stats would be lost nonetheless? Or would it be possible to merge those databases?

I'm asking these questions so that we would know where are we going. You are probably talking something in IRC and keeping all the rest ppl in the dark. I think these are pretty important things considering that belma is the best thing ever happened to elma. With decent systems and homepages, belma would be ever more popular.
(i know, i'm not doing anything to get these things done, i'm just curious)

it uses tcp connection and will use in the future too
ftp was supposed to be replaced with http but i will do my own protocol so it wont be hackable

just to make things clear about connections :
there are two basic types - tcp and udp
then there are many different protocols like http, ftp, irc protocol(?) and all of them (atleast these) are using tcp connection (so it can't be 'replaced')

i cant really do anything against that loosing of the connection, maybe i shouldn't cancel the connection when error appears. i may wait if it fixes itself (it many times does, only some messages are lost) so it doesnt have to be reconnected, its really hard to think about all combinations of missed messages if they can affect something so it gets fucked up (like comeone playing crippled bale without crippling or smth)

database can be setup on zworqy's comp if i try to make him version with mysql (it uses hacked library so i dont really want to spread it under wins) and if he installs and setups the database. i have no idea if skint0r gets old or new server any time soon, i know as much as you.

databases can be merged after that (it will have to be converted to new structure anyway after next version is running), would need someone to type that (php?) code to convert it:)

there is no discussion in irc or smth about belma, i'm just doing some updates now and then and hopefully get everything to work soon

I'd rather not run any statistics until it's confirmed if skint0r (or someone else) isn't gonna start real server soon.

mysql would 'just' be another program running and stealing precious CPU power though. Might be a problem to get info from local database to online server though, dunno.

no that's not a problem, you can just export everything into a file and import on the other side
skint0r told once he has found the server that satisfies all conditions only it was more expensive than the old one, no idea if we get any soon

got answer from skint0r in irc:
skint0r wrote:lost server, never gonna get it back, i have databases, need to find new server: harder than it sounds. don't want to just choose random new server that costs 10e more per month, would rely on people continuing to donate, which i doubt will happen considering everything
so, not very likely to get the 'real server' working anytime soon.

eh, i'd say he's wrong on that. unless part of that everything to consider was that he spent the money previously donated to the site for something personal. (blah i don't mind even that, just get a new server going and i'll be one of the first to toss a few € for the upkeep)

two bugs or security vulnerabilities which use such assholes like berhfuckschwul..

first is, that the password for ftp is easy to ... Only mila can fix that but maybe zwor can set the file authority of the ftp to "upload is allowed but not delete or change something". That must be possible imo.

Seconde is..

i knew that whatever berh was doing was very easy, i mean a year or so ago he was at the stage where he took winning recs from battles and posted them to cups. so obviously someone like that isn't going to acquire any real knowledge in any short space of time. but really you shouldn't have posted that here, you should've probably posted that in pm to milagros/zworqy since , as you said, they're just about the only people who can solve these problems

i'm kinda disappointed that mila didn't take any real precautions when coding belma and instead worked on adding unnecessary bajs like ff and those other battle modes. hopefully future versions can be more security-byxa

mh yes maybe I should censor it but I also wanted to show that berhmongo isn't the superhacker he and some other nabs think he is.
And maybe if everyone has an idea how it works it lost his attraction.
But dunno I can immediately delete it..

DaFred, you should take that away,
anyone could use this info with bad intents.

and, everybody knows berh is no real hacker, just some wannabe internet thug so, no need to prove that on this board.

and clearly, mila did belma not too secure at first thinking people would be classy enough not to try attacks on servers or any other shits berh and co. do. I'm sure is next version will be way safer.

Belma suddenly stopped working for me.
When I launched belma.exe, the screen was just grey, and when I hit enter belma quits.

error.txt generated the following log:

Code:
Corrupt file, please delete it!
state.dat

So as mentioned above, my state.day was corrupted. Not very nice. Strange that this never happened before belma, so I'm strongly suspecting that it's (at least partly) belma code that is guilty for corrupting the state.dat.

Anyone else had similar?

You are deleted one "0" on your state.dat then your ALL internal times are in the deep forest. I tested to del all "0":s and "1":s and other shit there, and it made just the same. I delled it then i must drive Warm Up and then Flat track etc if wanna see more levs level. :)
