Yep, finally got mila to do something!
<teh_mila> autokick for nitro
<teh_mila> also gravity xiit is autokicked
Also, IPs of all nicks are logged so ez to ban for other reasons.

That is ftp level changing thing. I think if its nat autokicked then save IP:s help in that :D

Would be really max if this temp server could "heal" itself, I mean, if it could recreate the "ballelma" folder or whatever the startballe.exe needs. Something like that it would check every 5 mins if the folder exists.. Is this possible? Just wondering... the folder is pretty often gone nowadays.

Would be max if the server could not be "temp" anymore. I mean, I do not play that much anymore, but I still don't understand why there is nobody to get skintors money back, pay a server and start belma.. Maybe people are waiting for the new belma release ?

Back to your post, I guess it's possible to write a program and install it as a service (a daemon) on the server to check and repair the shit. I know it's possible 'cause I made it myself once. The point is : is it really useful, because hackers seems to have admins right on the server, don't they ?
zworqy > maybe you better know the situation, the possibilities and limits, could you enlight us ?


To finish, I have to say I could make such a program if necessary. This one or any another ; dunno if there are other people in the scene who have programming skills (jt I know, kopaka but maybe more for the web, ...)

I think the problem is that ftp folder has both read and write permission? (correct me if i'm wrong).
A quick fix could then be to create one upload folder (just write permission) and one download folder (just read permission) and a script that copies rec and level from upload to download folder.

yes, the new version will be running on moposite server, so no one will bother with old version since its working relatively fine on zworqys server. and btw it will be much more secure and not even use ftp so we won't have those problem anymore

Mila: We just saw new ways of "nitro'ing" online.. and it doesn't autokick.

The coolest of those xiits was the "Flagtag mode in singleplayer" :D

but maybe the admins will manually kick those dudes anyways =)

Something is very wrong with the server atm, chat lines are copied to ballestatusline and it blinks... uuh.
