So I choose to ignore all the bugs and just create something new instead. There is now data for the yearly, monthly, weekly, daily ranking, aswell as battle related achievements on user pages.

Actually made most of this a year ago but got sidetracked by making the new site, so just finished it up now.

@roope, eventually, but I need to set up some data generating for that, reading it as db is now is too slow.

http://elmaonline.net/players/Hosp look here, 2nd battle in list says that Zox won balle, but I won it.

Look here: http://elmaonline.net/battles/33970
I finished 11 times, he 2.
Some bug maybe or something, it destroyed my cool 10 win in balles in a row at least (

Battle ranking is not updateding since May 11, for so far unknown reason. This includes normal, relative, exp and achievements. Thanks to Jeppe for noticing.

Should be fixed now (cron job was simply turned off ;)). I also found bug in the 'played' calculations (which also affects win ratio), although I still see some ppl with over 100% it should possibly be more correct now at least.

Nice to see the site being improved and, improved.

Just an easy question: the following links to Simple RecPlayer by ville-J -- http://elmaonline.net/simplerecplayer/index.php

Being under Linux and having Java uninstalled at the moment, it was a treat for me the other day to be able to watch replays without having Elma installed. It is very pertinent to the whole elmaonline.net idea, and quite well implemented. (Especially, without the need for Flash to be installed.)

The question I was asking myself is, would there be any way to use that tool to watch the replay posted there everyone is talking about? http://mopolauta.moposite.com/viewtopic ... 40#p219340

Also concerning online replays and maps. Sometimes when entering the page with some battle (like http://elmaonline.net/battles/34709 for example), wrong map is shown. I can't find how to replicate this, i was just opening few pages with battles and one of them was wrong. Watching the winrec felt weird, because the driving was all correct, but the background was all off (it was the same wrong map). Refreshing the page fixes the problem in both cases.
I've had it happen a couple of times and every time it was when i opened 5+ tabs.

Re: Elma Online site: Plans, Ideas, Changes

anpdad, the problem is that it generates a .lev and .rec file which it then reads from, and it is the same file that it rewrites everytime so if you open two at same time it might get overwritten before it can read it and so it shows the same in both tabs for example. Same problem is with online replay watcher. I have a couple ideas how to fix it though.

twipley, it is possible to make a page where you can give it an url or upload the lev/rec, but this doesn't not exist atm to my knowledge, for the time being you can use coco's which I'm hosting on http://kopasite.net/tools/replay_online/

roope, no, but that and most other things that has been on the site before will be back eventually, feel free to mention what you think is most important to do first though, overall best times seems pretty popular and now chatlog has been mentioned twice to me in last one or two days, but don't expect anything til late june.

I made a script: http://elma.oktobia.org/simplerecplayer.user.js.

It works in Opera and should also work in Firefox as a GreaseMonkey script, but I couldn't test it as a GreaseMonkey script because Firefox is so shit and I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how the fuck can I tell that cunt GreaseMonkey to use that file as a script, and I didn't find how to. So dunno, tell me if it doesn't work. Anyways, it should add 'Watch online' link next to *.rec file attachments on mopolauta and clicking it will bring up a popup window to watch it in Simple RecPlayer. Works with internal recs only, maybe if it was moved to elmaonline.net then Kopaka could mayke something to try to load externals from the eol database and sach.

Edit: Tried with Chrome and GreaseMonkey and didn't work, so I changed teh a bit (for some reason it couldn't open a popup window) so now it just adds a regular link that you can click and go to an ugly site and watch. Still duno if works in firefox.

sup mr. jankala,

the script really works neatly over here -- thanks for the trouble. however, i believe everything works fine just adding the url after the equal sign (which i have found out layman-reading your script).

Yesh you can also play recs from different urls like that, but is not the easiest way to use.

It would be najs to be able to compare two (or more) kuskis from the battles that they have both/all played. Then I'd officially see how badly I've beaten Ismo during the years. Pasibel to mayke or would it be too slow?

Yeah haven't automated that yet.
CuLiNo wrote:page is slow as fak for me. anyone else?
Yes, siteserver had a hardware failure (raid controller), so it's running from backup server while they restore it, and the restore causes some high load which in turn can cause slow or non loading site at times. Ironically enough exactly same as happened to gameserver just a few days ago. :) Should be better soon.

In rankings, it's kinda annoying that when you change the parameter the numbers on the left are still defined by the player's ranking. Orka count the rows if I want to know my position in experience for example.

The thing is even though it's paginated it loads all the html, meaning up to 10.000 rows, just hides the other pages with javascript. It also freezes up a short while for me, but works fine once it's loaded. Get a proper browser ;)) Firefox here, which do lukazz and ville use?
