who should be moderators to abort/stop balles
and who should give ban?

In your opinion, share your mind, give reasons, this is subjective thread and wont be used to chose those people

It hasn't been definitively decided yet, but probably most or all of the beta testers will be moderators. These people can and will then assign the other rights and bans to those who deserve it.
<Fihlvein> another case of zworqy-is-always-right closed i guess

because they think that some of the rules are stupid, and so do I. because imo an old balle is always better than no balle. ofc some ppl might have an advantage then but you should always remember: it's just a game. noone is going to die because someone wins and old balle because he has hoyled it before. in trackmania for example, old maps are played all the time. and thousands of players are playing it.

The way I have imagined it should work, is that we start with some group of moderators, probably some of the beta testers, and then they have some irc channel where they can discuss if there is need for new aborters/banners/moderators and decide together who should get, and can discuss bans and such there too. So that one persons doesn't give rights to others just because he likes them ect.

Am I just too inactive or is EOL like... a little bit inactive too? I haven't seen mila since he made his WR in Long Haul or something... I was just wondering what was going on, I know there are some beta testers, and the project seems great, but in what state of advancement is EOL in currently? Is mila still active and working on it? Is there a possible date of release?

mila is on IRC almost every day, and it IS progressing, maybe not that fast, but he does something every once in a while. The todo list is getting small but some nabs keep suggesting more stuff so it gets bigger again :x

tis a great idea, but pretty hard not to recall it from time to time (like "oh that tcp problems... i cant wait till eol"). if mila and others didnt say how expanded it will be, or didnt even say they were making it, people wouldnt ask all the time -,-

So, to get an idea of how many aborters we need in the final version I'd like to ask how well current amount is working out. Is there battles that should be aborted but are not because of no present aborter?

Abort rights for this testing version have just been given to old beta testers so some of those might be inactive ect. Personally I've only aborted one battle I think so doesn't seem to be a lot of battle in need of abort.

People aren't starting battles that should be aborted! That's good. Sometimes someone accidentally starts something wrong, though, and that problem is gone when aborting own battles is fixed (very smart feature btw).

Mawane and I could be aborters from GMT-5, useful for night battles, BoneLESS isn't often connected late and I will be more since eol is coming out for real :)

I don't think i am online often enough to receive moderator rights (even though i would use them well). Maybe i'll be more active when a stable/final version is launched.

Mawane and Memphis seem like reasonable enough candidates for that specific time period. (Memphis represents North American West Coast and Mawane the East Coast)

Yeah, always when you are :) Personally I'm playing another game and school starts in a week so I wouldn't be that active.

A couple of trusted and active moderators somewhere in America and maybe a couple more in Europe. That should do it.
