Translators needed for Elma Online Wiki

Post by zworqy »

We would appreciate all help in translating parts of the Elma Online Wiki.

Priority 1 is the Rules page.
Priority 2 is the Main page.
Priority 3 is all pages the main page links directly to.

Found some errors in the Swedish translation for the rules, but the page is locked.

3.3 Starta battles på stötande, buggiga eller andra opassande banor levels

Practise levels / övningsbanor should really link to another page. I don't think noobs will know what they are.

# Remixes only changing the start position
* Making level smaller ect.
# Remixes with very small changes
# Practise/Train levels
# Mirror levels
# Scaled levels

Rules:

Code: Select all

This page in other languages
Dansk Suomi Svenska

Introduction
Disobeying the rules will get you a warning or ban in that particular catagory. This means you can have multiple warnings at once in two different categories. Some minor offenses might be overlooked the first couple of times, but serious offenses will give immediate bans without warnings.

1st time: Warning<br>
2nd time: 1 week ban<br>
3rd time: 2 week ban<br>
4th time: 1 year ban<br>

Not allowed
Playing
* 1.1 Cheating in any way (*)
* 1.2 Dis-/reconnecting to play battles before countdown is over

Chat
* 2.1 Spamming
* 2.2 Writing in other languages than English
* 2.3 Writing very offensive or insulting

Starting battles
* 3.1 Starting a battle on the same level more than once
* 3.2 Starting battle in levels created by somebody else
* 3.3 Starting battles on offensive, buggy or otherwise unsuitable levels
* 3.4 Starting battle in internals

Website
* 4.1 Vandalizing the wiki
* 4.2 In any way trying to hack or harm the server or website (*)
* 4.3 Creating more than one user
* 4.4 Joining a team you're not officially a member of

Elaborations
Starting Battles
Allowed:
* New levels never played by anyone
* Remixes
** Internal remixes
** Remixes of others levels
** It's recommended to make your own levels though
Not allowed:
* Remixes only changing the start position
** Making level smaller ect.
* Remixes with very small changes
* Practise/Train levels
* Mirror levels
* Scaled levels
* Using same level for different battle type

(*)
In extreme cases these can give an immediate one year or even permanent ban.

Final word
The admins always have the final word, however if you feel you're being treated unjustly, you can send a ban appeal and another admin will look at it. Serious cases will always be discussed in the admin group.
To create new pages, simply go to a wiki page and edit the page title in the address bar to the new name, then you'll get a message with a link to start editing the new page.
Example: go to http://zworqy.com/elmawiki/index.php/Main_Page and change the "Main_Page" to Rules:_NOR to write the norwegian translation of the rules page.

IMO there's some articles that aren't in the main page, so ez some more to do. But of course, they're lower priority.

the editing thing doesn't work for me... I'll just put the whole translation into a .txt file when it's done and someone else can put it there.

Some guidelines:

Main Pages should be named like this: Main Page: COUNTRYCODE
where COUNTRYCODE is like DEN, NED, SWE, RUS etc.

Other page titles should be translated if possible, but if there is no suitable translation, like the title for the Tuning page, or if the title is the same in multiple languages, add a colon and countrycode to these titles too, e.g. Tuning: SWE.
