Weekly/biweekly 1 hour TTs

Post by Kopaka » 2 Dec 2010, 17:23

We've many times talked about having 1 hour tts in eol at some certain time every week or every other week. So I wanted to start this topic to dicuss when ect.

I'll make some nice stats on eol site with some point system, maybe like oldschool battle system or something, but if anyone have some specific ideas for this I'm open for them.

I'm thinking it should be at two fixed times that it changes between. So that people in other timezones or for other reasons can't be there at that time, they can participate every second time atleast.

So it could be something like sunday at 14:00 eet even weeks and at 21:00 eet odd weeks for example. Ofcourse it could be delayed due to queue.

So what would be good times? And should it be every week or every other week?

I think once per month or so would be cooler. Then you could also gather statistics and I think you could see some nice improvements and such. Once a week feels like it's too often and the 1htt will lose it's "magic"

it would be cool to make starting 1htt for myself possiblity, then result will be saved in eol database
we dont need "a battle" every week, playing alone and comparing times/results is also nice

true, but very poss that u can miss it if it will be only once per month...

Morgans idea is good, should be possible that u can start it by yourself
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Then it would completely lose the magic.

it's also an illusion to think there will be any new features, so no reason to discuss that possibility :)

There should be a possibility for anybody to start his own 1 hour TT battle whenever he wants, as Morgan said. It's quite important to prepare for it beforehand and train it as often as you want to.. otherwise the stats are quite pointless.

I'd like to see 1htt balles once in 2 weeks or a month regularly at the same time every time, but yeah the possibility of own 1h with saving times stats etc would be great

I don't think sunday is a good idea for this. Wednesday, saturday or maybe friday.

Once a week would be pretty acceptable, twice a month is really too little !!! One fucking hour in one fucking week shouldn't be that much for haters to endure... It's such a pressure to play it knowing the next 1 hour TT battle comes after such a long time...

After forgetting it multiple times in the fall I decided to take summer brake and then maybe continue again in the fall. The fall is here. So is there still interest in a biweekly 1 hour tt? And is sunday evening still the best time?

I like summer brakes. Fits even better on winter tires.
