Sorry Johann, but still pretty far off. Right style for taking WR, but cutting that much air from the first apples "saves" alot of time. Your start is also slightly sloppy. The problem I think though, that getting a smooth start with low refresh rate is quite hard, but getting a bounce with high refresh rate is even harder. Hoyl after this (http://up.k10x.net/theorxrykyqmw/08zynt.rec). Btw, the time you save from bouncing back is overestimated, but yeah, it saves time.

I reckon this WR will be beaten soon enough anyway. Good luck :)
Don't remember if I ever shared this.. crap time but would be nice if someone could merge ending (which I think is messed up like the rest.. but still)

You remember what refresh rate this was driven with? Best end I've seen so far.

Refresh rate doesnt matter if vsync off. :P So, fps?

Re: Replays sharing

FinMan meant: "use 'fps,' rather than 'refresh rate,' expression."

just to be sure everyone follows:
- when vsync is left on (as it is as default): fps is stable and equals the monitor's refresh rate;
- when vsync is turned off (via driver options): fps is unstable and differs from the refresh rate.

so, the expression to be used (in order to diminish ambiguity) is "fps" rather than "refresh rate." thanks

Alright been away from the scene too long i guess. What fps do you use then, and how the heck do you manipulate the fps to a certain number? :P

now that johann has uploaded his rec for us, here's zynti's WR, mila's bounce, and some style I've tested (so the links stays up).
the style I've tested was just for fun, but, hell, I'm giving my tongue to the cat; I'm not 100% sure it is to be ignored straight-away.

I've just tried once, and here's the result. if you merge with zynti's, you can see that he's a little bit faster at the beginning, but...

I don't know about FPS either. never used and never will. I guess v-sync on and as laggy as possible, perhaps some 40-60 refresh rate

Personally, it's not the "damn, this level requires vsync on, so I must change driver options now" kind of thing.
It's more like "I've turned it off some weeks ago, have kept it that way, and noticed bike reacts differently."

i turned vsync off for the first time when i had 50tt or samesach, and those days i noticed a great difference! eventho my fps stays u500, ive noticed much stronger grip, another way of making bounces and non-ability of getting through 'launchers' or some holes more narrow than a wheel :| so u 'pr0s' dont say that nabs shouldnt play with vsync saying it is only for pros...

I guess he meant: "sometimes things happens you could never have imagined." of course this is a slower route lol, and we are as far as we were yesterday from that 34TT. dame, Lukazz, you sometimes can be such of the depressive-realistic kind! :P

like I said earlier:
western wrote:isn't there a thread about potential new styles? e.g. pipe bounce, crazy's warm up -- that one could save 0,02! that's almost half of a tenth of a percent of what's needed to reach the next minute break. aren't you beginning to feel a lil' bit depressed too or that's just me?

that's the realism's hitting, folks -- way to swallow truth in all its harshness. you're welcome for doing so.

It's just the delay when turning around, with some xiit0r patch the delay could be removed and with that you could see that the head doesn't hit / does pick apple / whatever.

ffs i know the fucking head doesn't touch it, otherwise he would die.

it's partially the delay, the head is a certain shape, not exactly circle, it's a shape slightly similar to the helmet, and when you hit the turn button, the hittable part flips instantly, however the picture you see doesn't, thus meaning you can go through something that visibly looks liek you hit it, and touch something it looks like you didn't.
