it's on the far side of normal bounce. But when px accepted it, it can't be a bug bounce. I read something about a Mick's Bug Bounce in enigma, that it wasn't accepted or something. (long time ago)

bug bounce imo is an extremely mega-bounce, like in slesk replays.
if the bounce doesn't make you jump like spaceship, its ok for me.

i think the rule should be that you can only bounce as fast as you came in, + a bit of speed due to volting (nat sure how we would calculate this). Just pretend that it was a completely elastic collision with the wall, and all energy going in was transformed back the other way. make sense?

ramo? he means that if your speed is faster after bounce than it was before bounce its defined a bug bounce :p, and btw i think it would be easy to count WITH THE SPEED O METER, or w0tefak its called, just some pixels/second (hibernatus hev the skills to make it)

and btw ive seen karlis's lololo rec, missing apple in 19:3x ride, sucky bounce in that mkay, ez 19:1x. so stfu nab schumee

I think it makes perfectly sense, if we are to judge elma by real, physical laws. But nothing about elma is real, so... :)
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

true

and in fact if we were to judge bounces by real physical laws, even a bounce where speed of exit = speed of entrance would be illegal

For me, bounces can be as high as you do it, the only ones who shouldn't be legal are the ones in slesk replays, where you make the whole level in a second and break your head on the roof :?

well... what matters for strength of a bounce is not only speed.. so how can you use only the speed you have before it to judge by?

I mean, if you drive or fall. Its easier to get hard bounce if you drive on floor, and not fall and bounce directly, even if the speed before bounce would be the same. if you fall you drive some 1st (most often) to get HARDER bounce. But, you dont have more speed before bounce. Also angle matter alot. Ask anyone who made more than 5 bounces.

So, if I fall, get bad angle, but still gets a good bounce. But not faster than the speed I fell. It would be legal to you? maybe it is harder than normally would be possible. even Weak bounces can be bugs. its not only about how HARD they are.

Also, when exactly would you check the speed of bike. Before and after bounce? That is very vaugue. Cause sometimes you slow down some before bounce.. by squeezing or whatever... and then the real entrancespeed would be the same. in some levels you bounce right away.

That idea about speed is just VERY unlogical and STUPID to me. If that would be adapted it would be a great shame. (why I am sure it wont)

I could go on and on about this. I just dont have energy so I let it be. Just, it, as I said twice: Dont make sense to me. Its like Car speed limits should depend on how hard you braked before last redlight, or stopsign.

And the bike is BASED on a physical model. It fucking aint one. Period!

ramone nobody, or at least not i, implied that you had to be going fast to make a fast bounce. i was talking about relative speeds; if the speed of exit is significantly faster than the speed of entrance, whether this be a fast or slow speed.

to phrase it slightly differently, if the bike noticably accelerates to a speed clearly faster than it had previously been, then surely the bounce is a bug. or at least, it is worth pursuing that bounce further.

but i agree with you anyway, that this rule won't be enforced. as i have said previously, let us end this search for a law-like solution, and instead adopt pragmatism as we have done before. a "conclusion must be reached"? then let us conclude not to conclude.

I suggest slesk025.rec bugbounce as a legal bounce limit.

I suggest that there would be no bounce limits...

after all, the game was made this way, maybe the mage developper made it that when you fall on your wheel a certain way, you make an insane bounce. I think all bounces should be accepted as they are no made with no cheating prgrams.

I think those humongous bounces are, and should be part of the game !

Bounces like slesk 25 shouldn't be legal, caus it's totally random if you make that, then some lucky n00b just makes some omg WR's.

Not really, to make a WR, you have to get the entire level perfectly.

You can't make a bounce and take all the apples and touch the flower, you have to be pretty damn good to make a WR, even with a bug bounce :?

Look at slesk031.rec, would be easy WR if you make the flower with such a bounce, even for a n00b.
