clean and nice. theres a pretty easy bounce style at 42-43 that saves a bit of time, add that because there are not enough bounces yet :D

sobad yoo r -_- You traded me couple recs few years ago, all of them in the int3x range, never even seen your bowling rec, which i'm sure is insane. And i don't share/tell styles to others anyway :p Wonder if it's a leak or kaz's own ideas though.

also making sl wr recs public is the only way we'll ever reach wr TT 33.x (probably not even then tho)

milagros wrote:Last year I was annoyed that almost noone appreciate my eol effort and send me his wr recs. So I decided to quit eol and use all my hoyling and coding skillz to drive 54 wrs. The project got the name "32tt project" for its target.

Rules were simple :
a) all recs have to be theoretically drivable = they must be result of some time events and key presses on non-xiit elma
b) bounces should have no pop and the strength was limited to "certain" value - some may find some bounces buggy:/
c) minibugs/miniwheelpops like in flattrack wr start allowed
d) bangoing between two edges (like in 31 start) allowed

Not all times were driven with the latest tools yet. In some of them the wr was beaten and they have not been touched again (12,13,14,..). 31tt should be ez, 30tt or even 29tt possible. So here is the list:

Code: Select all

40. Double Trouble 1:17,90
edit: recs will not be spread ofc
coincidence? 8O

mila and kaz plz both share recz :D too curious to see the diffs

Personally don't get the appeal of these bug recs, I mean they were kinda funny/amusing the first time, but after that you just watch people play with seemingly no restrictions. Of course the possibilities of these bounces are actually quite limited, I understand, but still it feels like watching god doing whatever he wants with no effort (so, not impressive at all) or something like that. I guess I feel similarly about any TAS replay. It's like anything is possible with TAS, so it can't surprise.

But I guess I can understand why Zweq keeps making those: he has been playing elma so much that he's very glad to find something radically new in it.

I prefer the sickly driven TAS replays that could actually be legit WRs (even if nobody can do such run it doesnt contain bugs)
i just gotta ask why in many of those milaSL recs you can see you take the apples but still not shown like you take them?

I think bugrides are annoying to make because they take sometimes shitload of time and you can safely say you can always improve them no matter what, but fun to watch. I don't make them to discover anything new imo, they're for entertainment purposes, and maby one day full total time will be achieved.

I also think "purest" form of TAS rides is that you use same fps throughout all the ride as you used in frame 1 without any bug bounces utilized. But it's really not that simple, even a very short höyl lev driven with 30 FPS all the way you can get ultra theoretical replay 1 in a 1000000000000000000000000 that isn't only about playing accurately anymore, but about being lucky and getting the most beneficial timestep in each frame for the most beneficial rounding error. 999FPS has very litlte of these errors imo and playing very accurately should give more or less the same time always. The problem is that you can build a machine that can handle up to 35 fps and then the whole game works so fundamentally differently it's not even funny. One properly made TAS rec with 30 FPS all the way is in itself one huge bug ride. you could blame balazs for bad engine, but then again how could he have known some retards play the game for 15 years.

So perhaps the only pure way is 999FPS all the way without bug bounces. But then you notice some fun stuf like Shelf Life hole not being possible, Enigma wr not being possible, Pipe wr not being possible. The damage is already done, the engine IS shitty and will remain shitty and the official WR table contains bugs and will contain bugs.

be cool to see someone drive some last wcup times with this tool. I know most people say no external levels but considering some of the wcup levels were holyed more than internals think it's only fitting :)
