WR replays

Post by Abula » 12 Dec 2002, 15:30

I'm begging old WR replays. 198 replays are still missing. Could you help me? mr is working hard to get as many permissions as possible to publish replays in Moposite's Old WR replays page. But we cannot publish all replays eventhough we got the permissions because not all replays are available in my WR replays collection. If you have any missing one please send it to abu@moposite.com, thanks for co-operating.

These replays are missing:

bob sent his Twin Peaks 19,42 - not cheated.

Also I added that CHEAT tag to Totalnew's Bumpy Journey 37,97. Or what? Ambulance, was this 37,97 the death replay or 38,00? You said he used everytime after his Pipe WR, what Pipe WR? He has had like five times Pipe WR.

MGen sent three of his own replays - not cheated.

You can send other people's replays too, I won't publish your name if you don't want to.

I think i said on #42? Anyway, I spoke with him today, and he told me he did it on all the pipe wr's he had. The only WR he didn't cheat was frame work 40.13..But he wasn't sure of that either :P

The death replay was 38.00 btw.

40,13 is 40,14 if I have the correct replay. I would believe more that he didn't cheat in 40,75...

- 6. #017 38,13 Markku [MC]
7. #051 38,12 Totalnew [SC]

Markku had that WR for long time :(

Maybe I will remove all Totalnew WRs because I cannot know the real times of those where I don't have the replay.

I think that's a bad idea, in that case you should remove all the WR's that you don't have a replay of.

Or did I miss something here?
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

imo

In my opinion, DZ, I think I know best of all, and should be taken most seriously when I say Totalnew cheated on all those wr's. One of the main reasons is that Totalnew is my cousin, and that way I know all about what he and his team has done untill they quit playing, because we speak quite often with eachother. The only thing is that neither me or him have any of his replays, since I only saw them on his cpu, and he has now deleted ElMa.

oh i am sorry AMBULANCE, first of all, i had no clue what so ever you are a cousin of his, secondly, looking at your past in the form of text written on moposite; "stolen & spread others' recs publically", it's not very difficult to think "not always so correct" behaviour from the guy based on moposite's "blacklist". neway, sorry, from now on i will belive you now and forever. ;)

That's good, DZ, so I think I will follow your example from now on, which is that you have never done anything bad, and won't do anything bad in your life. That way, maybe someone besides you can one day belive what I say. But you have never lived to long to change, eh?

Yeap, I'll change only WRs I know they are cheated (so I have the replay). I can't only trust to Ambulance (or anybody else). If Totalnew came here himself...

Jokke sent his 59,90 replay.

Found Mandel's Enduro WR replay but the time is not same with any of his WR times. I don't know whether it is a mistake by Csaba or not but I don't feel like accusing Mandel for cheating. He isn't playing anymore anyway.

Some Nostrada and Totalnew replays are missing and therefore I can't remove them from the history. Totalnew has told even himself that they are cheated but he doesn't remember the exact times anymore.

Should I remove those too or left to history eventhough they are cheated for 99.9% sure?

most likely those were wrs even if totalnew statedited, I dont think you can just remove them from the history. well, we cant know the right times either, or did he cheat by pressing esc in the end? oh well, maybe removing is the best solution afterall..

Are the world record replays downloads updated every time there's a new record?

hah we wish. in fact only a few of the recs on moposite are current WRs. Abula is talking mostly about old ones. It is not expected for WR kuskis to publish their replays, but some of the nicer/better guys do.

I guess I am reviving somewhat of an old topic.

http://wiki.elmaonline.net/World_Records_replays

Great work, Abula.

239 20th-century, culturally-significant replays therefore preserved.

I am not sure it will mean as much to posterity as it meant to us back then. When they still were updating the page over at elastomania.com was really the golden age of the game. It surprisingly has aged amazingly well, though.

It is a pleasure to download such a pack to personal hard drives. I am a big fan of the WR development from that period, especially concerning the first 10 levels.

Cheers!

huge thanks for releasing that pack of replays, it was really awesome to go back in time for a while and dive deep into nostalgia :) Many epic recs, the ones like zeth's longhaul (brutal and supervolt look so modern for march of 2000), zeth's zigzag (midbounce in that same year), Joni's gravity ride (even though it was public for years, but damn, that style was close to what had been used recently until new unknown discoveries happened) just to name the few.

i think zig zag stuff was the most fun, comparing zeth and onla recs and then swos' impressive groundwork.

When more WR recs gets shared from this project, I will create a site (see Sprocket tropic) in which will be styles shown, and for extra niceness these be WR recs.

Would start from Warm Up and climb up straight to Apple Harvest with time. One internal at a time. Although has to wait for more of those packs to be published, though.

Ideally I would see all of the public WR replays in a single wiki page (or a wiki page for each of the levels). No need for a separate site for every little thing.

Need separate site so I can put only the replays I feel like to be pertinent, and to prevent others from fiddling everything upside down to their own crappy view points.

Ez link external site to wiki, though (or the other way around).

06 wtf janne end never seen
06 mick sick ride vtf
08 mick wtf end:D
20 lol tisk style at right grav apple, wins like 1sec+ compared to tor's rec. I thought this style was found in 2009.
38 karlis 32.95!!!!!! finaly i see the rec behind this LEGENDARY time!!!! never seen this style before, cool
41 vtf jeppe switched to slower start from table #88 to #93
48 pajen very oke rec also
49 toringe very good rec......and a style ive not seen
53 cool, always thought deadnite was the first to find the new style but apparently not

toringe most skilled driving. I'm starting to see first instances of using brake and throttle in air properly, but still far from optimal.
zeizei skilled as fuck also...
cloud cool styles

i watched it several times and I don't get what was different to typical style that time
i had my old 32.xx with the same style including "compressed bottom wheel", it just sometimes ended up like that without actual trying
or was there anything else i missed?

and the others - tisk's style was quite funny, i thought he used nostrada's style that appeared a few weeks later
karlis's 32 style decent (I think (not sure) i've seen mr's 33.0x and he used the same style)
it thought it was known karlis did 53 first (but i haven't seen the rec before)
that 08 end was quite popular at that time (karlis had such rec (his only one) uploaded to old sprocket's rec site)
haven't seen tor's wth style either

Checked zweqqie list and it was interesting.
Now, have u seen the first Enigma bc in wr table #62 by Eliaz? So sweet rec. He needed 3 moves to desperately touch the flower. It had to be epic moment.
Anyone know timeline for 1st Enigma bc, first attemps, 1st players trying it, etc?

ok can't remember ever seeing it nor ever getting such end myself.

it seems like every rec in the pack had the same style anyway. Nobody just ever told me about that style, laughing at poor zamppe playing with shit 38mopo styles, bastards. Or maybe i remember everything completely wrong

I really don't want to make any videos right after my shirt tutorial video, which i'll release soon. Needed much more time to make than planned :(
But recsource is still there for old WR replays.
I don't understand why did you delete elma, at least start some troll 60mins fumads once a week. Please.
